How do I prevent seasickness?
Be prepared before you sail
- Pack your preferred seasickness medication in your hand luggage
- Take it as directed, often a few hours before departure
- Try natural remedies (ginger tablets, acupressure wristbands)
- Over-the-counter meds (like Stugeron or Kwells)
- Prescription options (such as scopolamine patches)
Choose your cabin wisely
- Midship cabins on lower decks feel the least movement
- Suites with balconies offer fresh air and a view of the horizon, which can help settle your senses
Eat and drink smart
- Try green apples, ginger biscuits, or ginger ale – many swear by these!
- Stay hydrated and eat small, frequent meals to keep your stomach settled
- Don’t hesitate to visit the medical centre on board. They’re there to help and can offer additional treatment if needed
Please note that if the temperature of your in-cabin cooler isn’t suitable for storing medication, our Medical Centre is available to safely store it for you.
