Dover Cruise Port
Dover's iconic White Cliffs have been a hive of seafaring activity for thousands of years. Today excellent road and high speed rail connections make the town easily accessible from across the UK. Dover Cruise Terminal has fast and efficient check-in desks, a spacious departure area with plenty of seating and a café-bar to ensure an enjoyable pre-cruise experience.
We know that many of our guests will have questions about our Covid protocols at Liverpool Cruise Port, so we've compiled the below handy FAQ's:
Pre-cruise - arriving in Dover
I am sailing from Dover - will I arrive at the port as usual
Yes, please head to Cruise Terminal One at the Port of Dover (CT17 9DQ). We will send you more details on the check-in procedure in the weeks leading up to your cruise. This will include an allocated check-in time, so that we can ensure there is plenty of space for social distancing when you arrive. Please only arrive at the specified time, as you will not be able to wait in the terminal if you are early.
Don’t worry if you are running a little late for your window, we just ask that you don’t arrive early. As long as you arrive no later than 15.45 you will still be able to check-in if you are delayed on your journey.
I am parking my car at the port – what do I need to do?
Please arrive at your allocated check-in time, following signs for the cruise terminal.
Upon arrival at your allocated check-in time, you will be directed to our testing centre where everyone in your car will be asked to complete a Covid-19 lateral flow test whilst remaining within your car. You will then be directed to a holding lane whilst your test results are being processed.
Following confirmation of negative test results, you will be directed to drive to Cruise Terminal Two where our staff will direct you to where to park your car.
Your luggage will be collected at this point and delivered straight to your cabin.
From here there is a short walk to the check-in area in Cruise Terminal Two.
I am being dropped off/arriving my public transport. What do I need to do?
You will still need to arrive at your allotted time, even if you are not leaving a vehicle at the port. Upon arrival, please head to Cruise Terminal One where you will be directed to the drop off area. Please do not arrive any earlier than your allocated check-in time. Here you will be greeted by a member of our team and directed into the testing centre where you will be asked to take a Covid-19 lateral flow test and await the test results.
Following confirmation of a negative test result, you will be transferred the short distance to Cruise Terminal Two for check-in. Your luggage will be collected from you at Cruise Terminal One and delivered straight to your cabin.
What should I do if I arrive ahead of schedule?
For those guests that are not arriving in their own car, we are pleased to offer a complimentary shuttle bus between Dover Pier and Cruise Terminal One. The shuttle bus will depart five minutes before each allocated check-in time. If you arrive early, not in your own car, please ask to be dropped off at Dover Pier. Here you will find somewhere to get a bite to eat or a drink while you wait for your allocated shuttle bus departure time.
What if I am travelling with others who have a different arrival time?
If you are travelling with others who have been given a different arrival time to yourself, we kindly ask that those with the later window to please make use of nearby facilities until your scheduled time, or alternatively you can arrive together at 15.45.
When I disembark at the end of my cruise, where will I collect my luggage from?
Your luggage will be available for you to collect from the terminal at the end of your cruise.
