Your cruise at a glance
Hand-crafted highlights
Festive flavours and Christmas market charm await on this short getaway to France and Germany. After a relaxed call to Honfleur, where colourful half-timbered buildings frame the harbour and regional specialities range from Calvados to Camembert, you’ll continue to Hamburg. Renowned for its atmospheric Christmas markets, you’ll have a full day to browse traditional wooden huts, strung with twinkling lights and filled with handcrafted gifts, and sample treats such as bratwurst, roasted chestnuts and lebkuchen, perhaps with a warming glühwein. Away from the stalls, there’s the chance to join a harbour cruise on the River Elbe for a different view of the city. Back on board, the seasonal feeling continues with decorations, entertainment and cosy days at sea.

You're almost ready to step on board, but before you zip up those suitcases, here are a few helpful reminders to make your journey smooth and stress-free.
Visa and health requirements can change at any time. It is your own responsibility to ensure that you check with a professionally qualified source and comply with such requirements. UK passport holders will need visas for certain Fred. Olsen cruise holidays and will be advised at the time of booking. Disembarking when your ship's at anchor is a very different experience to when it's docked portside. Getting ashore in this instance often involves the use of the ship's tender, which is accessed via the steps of a secure gangway.
