Discover the land of fire & ice
Iceland is often referred to as 'The Land of Fire & Ice' due to its contrasting landscapes of volcanoes, geysers, glaciers and waterfalls. From Akureyri, explore the awe-inspiring Godafoss Waterfall, cascading over a curved edge into a deep pool below; while the Golden Circle tour offers the chance to experience Thingveller National Park, Strokkur Geysir, and the impressive Gullfoss Waterfall, whose spray creates a rainbow effect. Close by is the Langjökull glacier, an enormous ice cap, home to turquoise-coloured ice caves. You will also have the chance to visit Dynjandi Waterfall and the sheer cliffs of Hornbjarg.

Iceland is a unique destination with a strong sense of cultural identity, which has shaped the country with ancient traditions, blended seamlessly with modern influences. Embrace the wellness culture of bathing in hot springs such as the Blue Lagoon or Sky Lagoon, visited from Reykjavik; or Myvatn Nature Baths, located close to Akureyri. Enjoy a horseback ride across the wilderness from Seyðisfjörður, or hike amongst volcanic landscapes. Seeking out whales
The nutrient-rich waters of Iceland are said to be some of the best in the world for attracting whales and other cetaceans, so we've timed this Bolette cruise for you to have the best chance of seeing majestic humpback whales before they head south. To see them breach out of the water is a humbling experience, creating memories that will last a lifetime. You may also see blue, fin, sperm and minke whales, orcas and white-beaked dolphins.

Founded in 2001, ORCA is a group of Ocean Conservationists. Join them out on deck to search the seas for marine life.

Geologist and oceanographer, Professor Dorrik Stow will be joining us through your sailing to deliver a series of engaging talks on the geology and renewable energy of Iceland.

UK passport holders will need visas for certain Fred. Olsen cruise holidays and will advised at the time of booking. On certain sailings we offer two types of cruise fares; Freedom and Saver Fares.
Our single guests feel right at home on board our ships; Fred. Olsen have the reputation of sailing the friendliest fleet afloat.
Disembarking when your ship's at anchor is a very different experience to when it's docked portside. Getting ashore in this instance often involves the use of the ship's tender, which is accessed via the steps of a secure gangway.
