Highlights

Krka waterfall in Croatia

Captivating Mountainous and Island Landscapes

Your cruise aboard Bolette has been designed to showcase the mountains, islands and lakes of the Dalmatian Coast. When in Dubrovnik, join us on a tour to visit the picturesque coastal town of Cavtat, exploring its cobblestoned streets and red-roofed houses; before journeying on to Lokrum Island where a visit to its botanical gardens is not to be missed. Visit the cascading Krka Waterfalls from Split and Plitvice Lakes from Zadar, and the picture-postcard church set on an islet in the turquoise waters of Lake Bled. Bolette will sail along the tranquil waters of the Bay of Kotor and past Mount Biokovo on Croatia's Makarska Riviera.

Experience Dalmatian Life

As life in the Dalmatians is mainly influenced by the sea, enjoy meandering through the turquoise waters of the Adriatic by boat, before stepping ashore in the picturesque coastal towns of Dubrovnik, Hvar and Zadar. Croatia boasts diverse wine regions where unique grape varieties thrive due to its perfect microclimate for vineyards, including the robust red of Plavac Mali in Hvar, and Dubrovnik's powerfully flavoured Postup. When in Split, immerse yourself in exploring the local fish market, offering a variety of fresh seafood, enjoying local dishes in a konoba - a family run, intimate restaurant, and listen to musicians playing folk music, including Gusle, Diple and Klapa.

Walls of Dubrovnik, Croatia

Discover the history of the Balkans

The Balkans are a region influenced over many years by a rich fabric of diverse cultures and discord, shaping it into a crossroad of various civilisations, including the Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman Empires. The Roman Empire established its mark upon the city of Split, with the construction of Diocletian's Palace, a grand complex that is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is an enduring symbol of Roman architecture. The city walls of Dubrovnik, built to defend the city against various threats reflect the city's strategic importance in the trading routes surrounding the Mediterranean, while Zadar's and Kotor's systems of walls were built for defence against Ottoman threats. Venetian influences can also be found in the historic town of Trogir, and at Hvar's impressive fortress.
