Margaret has never cruised before. Over the course of the series, we follow her as she discovers the world by sea, ticking off 60 bucket list experiences – from spotting dolphins and cruising the iconic Kiel Canal to searching for the world’s best pizza in Italy.
The series captures those honest, first-time reactions through the eyes of a new cruiser, as Margaret learns what makes life at sea so rewarding.

Episode 1 sees Fraser and Margaret step on board Bolette in Liverpool for Margaret’s first-ever cruise. As they set sail for the Scottish Isles, Margaret enjoys her first cabin reveal and a taste of Highland culture.
Margaret and Fraser enjoy a Scandinavian city-hopping cruise, featuring the Kiel Canal, a traditional Gothenburg brewery, and Margaret’s first experience of life on board Balmoral.
Episode 3 sees Margaret and Fraser sail from their home port of Rosyth as they venture north into the Arctic, witnessing the Midnight Sun, taking a thrilling RIB ride and riding horses on an Arctic beach.
Episode 4 marks another first for Margaret – a fly-cruise. This Italian adventure sees them searching for the world’s best pizza and soaking up the beauty of the Amalfi Coast, Cinque Terre and Rome.
Episode 5 takes Fraser and Margaret to a new continent on board Borealis, where they explore vibrant souks, taste traditional Moroccan tea, and unwind in the ship’s Thermal Suite.
Episode 6 sees Margaret and Fraser sail from Newcastle in search of the Northern Lights. In the final chapter of Setting Sail at Sixty, they experience snowy landscapes and husky sledding – but did they spot the Aurora Borealis?
