Frequently asked questions

We can't guarantee that - wildlife sightings depends on the natural world, and no one can promise exactly what you'll see or when. What we can promise is the best possible conditions: sailings timed to the season each creature or bloom is at its most active, routes that bring the ship close to the coastline, and on selected sailings, marine wildlife experts from ORCA on deck to help you spot what's there.

On selected sailings, yes - marine wildlife experts from ORCA join guests on deck. Where this isn't confirmed for a particular sailings, our onboard team can still help point you toward the best viewing spots and times.

The open decks generally offer the widest view, though the best spot can vary by ship and by you're hoping to see. Our crew can point you to the best vantage points once you're on board.

For both the eclipse and the Northern Lights, the real vantage point is out on deck rather than from a cabin – our onboard astronomers will guide guests to the best spots on the night. If a cabin with an unobstructed sea view or balcony matters to you, our reservations team can talk you through the grades available on your chosen sailing.

Keukenhof is offered as a shore excursion on this sailing - ask our reservations team for the latest details and how to book.

Nature doesn't always keep to a fixed date, so timings such as peak tulip bloom or wildlife activity can vary slightly year to year. We plan each sailings for the best likely window based on past seasons, but conditions on the day are never guaranteed.
