A Fred. Olsen cruise holiday is always relaxing, but there are also opportunities to explore new places and meet new people. In fact, we can't think of a better way to see so much in one cruise holiday.
Our cruises have been carefully designed to show you as many interesting destinations as possible, from pretty little villages perched cliff-side in the Norwegian Fjords, to European capital cities. So that you can get the most out of your experiences ashore, we offer a range of half and full-day Shore Tours in almost all ports of call.
You can view, plan and book your shore tours from approximately four weeks prior to your cruise. You will receive an email to your registered email address once tours are viewable and bookable via your My Cruises account.

You can relax whilst we make it happen
Booking a tour through Fred. Olsen means you can be certain that guides and transportation will be waiting for you on the quayside, allowing you to make the most of your time in the destination. In the event your tour is delayed in returning to the port, our ship will still be waiting for you.
Although cruise itineraries are planned in advance some unforeseen circumstances can sometimes result in an itinerary change. Covid protocols for shore excursions
Will I be able to leave the ship in port if I have not booked a shore excursion?
We are pleased to announce that guests can explore ashore independently, without the need to join an organised shore excursion, in the destinations that allow us to do so.
What measures will be taken to keep guests and crew safe on board for guests returning from independent explorations ashore?
All guests who venture ashore will be required to follow any restrictions in that port of call, which will be communicated to guests before we arrive in the destination.
Will there be any destinations where you won’t allow guests to go ashore independently?
We will offer independent explorations in as many destinations as we can.
I understand that the situation in a destination may change at short notice. How will I know if I will not be able to go ashore independently in any of the destinations?
We will be closely monitoring infection rates in each destination using the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control information hub.
Will you still be offering shore excursions in the ports of call?
We know that many guests prefer to explore as part of an organised excursion. Of course, we will continue to offer a selection of bookable shore excursions for all of our sailings.
