Experience an in-depth discovery of Northern European countries, with smaller-sized Braemar taking you to the heart of some classic, iconic cities to delve into their beauty, diverse cultures and unique histories. Your journey takes you to Scandinavia, and two of the region’s captivating capitals. There’s a memorable visit to Oslo; enjoy a momentous sailing past the Olsen family home on the Oslofjord, and then seek-out the attractions of Norway’s capital from the Opera House and the National Gallery – home of Edvard Munch’s The Scream – to Vigeland Sculpture Park. In Denmark, Braemar will dock close to the centre of Copenhagen, so you can simply step foot off the gangway and wander off to find the sights of the Nyhavn district, Tivoli Gardens, the famous Little Mermaid and more. Perhaps visit the impressive Christiansborg and Amalienborg palaces to learn of Danish Royal heritage.[ReadMore]

In recent years, we have seen a new era emerging in cruising.

There is a trend for everything to get bigger and busier, and for a cruise to be seen as an alternative to a large luxury resort, with a limitless flurry of activity. But this is not for us. Find out more

1. WE ARE PROUD TO SAIL OUR OWN COURSE

We are free to do things a different way because we are family-run. Of course some people enjoy the bigger, busier cruises, but it is not for everyone, and it is not for us. We prefer to do things, 'The Olsen Way'.

2. SMALLER IS BETTER

We have fewer guests, so the atmosphere on board our ships is always warm and civilised. Our smaller ships allow us to visit the more interesting places that the world has to offer.

3. HAND-CRAFTED, NOT MASS PRODUCED

We pride ourselves on putting our all into the Fred. Olsen cruise experience. Our itineraries are created from scratch every year, our service is genuinely personal and each and every area of our ships is designed by hand.

Braemar is the shortest of Fred. Olsen's four smaller, friendly ocean-going cruise ships, with dimensions perfect for cruising picturesque, size-restricted rivers and docking in the heart of fascinating towns and cities.

Like the rest of the fleet, Braemar assumes the welcoming feel and intimacy of a country house hotel, and a sense of timeless style and elegance flows through the ship's comfortable bars and lounges, restaurants and spacious accommodation for up to 929 guests.
