Wishing Braemar calm seas and fair winds - thank you.

We waved goodbye to our beautiful Braemar on Tuesday 23rd April 2024, as she headed off on a new adventure. Having joined the Fred. Olsen fleet in 2001, she quickly became a firm favourite with our lovely guests, and at a smaller size, carrying just over 900 guests, she was able to get into many smaller and more remote ports of call and sail through narrow waterways; becoming the biggest ship to sail through the iconic Corinth Canal in 2019.

Below are some lovely comments from guests who have sailed on Braemar in the past:

The Maiden Ports cruise in 2016 was easily one of the best cruises we have ever done. Glorious weather, calm seas, and a wonderful reception in every one of the ports. It was a real privilege to be on board and we enjoyed every moment. We followed that with French Rivers where we were lucky enough to be invited to the Captain's Table. She will never be forgotten, and I hope her new passengers enjoy her every bit as much as we did. Good luck Braemar and all who work and sail on her.

Our first Fred. Olsen cruise was on Braemar on 20th September 2007. We sailed from the Port of Tyne and although it was only 4 nights it was so good it started a long lasting relationship with Fred Olsen Cruises. We had a fabulous cruise to the Caribbean on Braemar sailing out of Miami on 8th January 2009 and made some life long friends. Thank you to Braemar and all the wonderful staff who looked after us so well.

I'm one of the 4 man crew from Black Watch sent to take over the former Crown Dynasty in Aruba. And brought her to Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and then to Hamburg for Drydock. I served her will with pride from Wiper to 4th Engine Officer. Maintaining and taking care of her was the best experience of my life.
