Your cruise at a glance

Hand-crafted highlights

Reap the benefits of visiting Norway at the end of spring and start of summer, when the waterfalls are still strong, but the temperature is milder. Borealis will take you on scenic diversions along Lysefjord – only possible on smaller ships – and Maurangerfjord, past the sprawling Fureberg Waterfall. You’ll also get to cruise Norway’s two longest fjords – Sognefjord and Hardangerfjord. Haugesund is your gateway to the tumbling Langfoss Waterfall and the national monument, said to be the burial place of Viking King Harald Fairhair. Elsewhere, Flåm offers the chance to see archetypical fjordland scenery on a boat tour along the UNESCO-listed Nærøyfjord or aboard the world-famous Flåm Railway.

Dramatic Fjords & Tumbling Waterfalls

Your cruise to Norway has been planned for you to reap the benefits of visiting this beautiful country at the end of Spring when the waterfalls are strong and the temperature is mild. Believed to be one of the ten most beautiful waterfalls in the world, Langfoss Waterfall tumbles down the hillside as it meets with the aqua coloured Akrafjord below, and is surrounded by steep mountains and lush green hills. Your smaller ship, Borealis, is the perfect size for your Captain to manoeuvre into the beautiful Maurangerfjord to give you the best view of the cascading Fureberg Waterfall. You'll be joined on this cruise by Geologist Tony Waltham, who will provide scenic cruise commentary as you sail along the fjords, past steep mountains and thundering waterfalls.

Couple hiking

Meanwhile, meet with the owner of a farm perched on the mountainside, and experience their daily life. You will be joined on this cruise by Norway ex-pat, Daniel Albert, who will speak about the Norwegian way of life, and cultural differences between Norway and his home country of Canada.
