What's the dress code?

We want you to feel as relaxed and comfortable as possible while enjoying your European river cruise, therefore the dress code on board Fred. Olsen’s Brabant is smart casual.

Evening on board

For men, a pair of trousers, chinos or smart (dark) jeans, coupled with a polo shirt or shirt is perfectly acceptable, though some guests may prefer to wear a jacket while dining in the Panorama Restaurant. Ladies’ dress can range from tailored trouser suits or stylish dresses to casual separates or summer dresses.

There is no requirement for black tie/formal wear on Fred. Olsen River Cruises, however, some guests may wish to opt for something a little dressier for the Captain’s Welcome Dinner.

You can feel at ease while enjoying the relaxing scenic cruising aboard Brabant. Casual wear such as shorts and t-shirt or a polo shirt is ideal for cruising in the summer months. During spring and autumn we recommend packing something a little warmer for when on deck as the breeze can be a little cooler.

A pair of comfortable shoes is a must for when ashore exploring the fascinating ports of call and please remember to dress appropriately if visiting religious sites or places of worship during your explorations.

Other essentials to consider

  • Sunscreen, sunglasses and hat for summer months
  • Light weight jacket for the cooler months
  • Lightweight umbrella
