Experience a journey of scenic, architectural and cultural highlights, as you sail three different sections of the sublime Moselle River. Revel in views of the Lower Moselle Valley’s vineyards and riverside towns; enjoy time ashore in Cochem, with its romantic squares and fairytale-esque Reichsburg Castle; and stop at Trier, Germany’s oldest city, all before spending two days in Luxembourg – rarely visited on river cruises. Here you’ll call at Remich, to discover the centuries-old monuments and famous wineries of the ‘Pearl of the Moselle’; and at Grevenmacher, for a chance to visit the exotic Päiperleksgaart Gardens and encounter thousands of graceful butterflies, as well as chameleons, turtles and various bird species.

Back in Germany, an afternoon of serene cruising through the storybook countryside scenes of the Upper Moselle and Middle Moselle Valley is followed by a opportunity for a memorable day of exploration ashore; there’s a morning in Bernkastel-Kues for walking tours and wine tasting before an afternoon spent uncovering Traben Trarbach’s fascinating ‘underground world’. There’s time in Koblenz too; perhaps take in sites such as the impressive Prussian Electoral Palace and mighty Ehrenbreitstein Fortress – reached via cable car. Finally, on the banks of the Rhine, your scenic river exploration concludes in Cologne, famed for its UNESCO-listed cathedral, bustling Altstadt District and sweet Kölsch ale.

Built in 2006, this elegant and comfortable vessel is in keeping with the fleet of our ocean-going cruise ships. Brabant’s bright and spacious public areas and 79 well-equipped rooms and suites, spread across four decks, provide the intimate, home-from-home feel which Fred. Olsen’s guests already know and love.

Cruise ship staples such as swimming pools, a number of lounges and on-going activities are not in evidence on board, making way for a comfortable ambience and ample space in which to relax and enjoy the river cruise experience with around 150 fellow guests.
