Altos De Chavón
This recreated Mediterranean-style village offers plenty to see and experience, from the medieval stone St Stanislaus Church, to handsome views of the Chavón River, to a 5000-seat amphitheater – which once hosted a concert by Frank Sinatra.
Taino Rock Art
Within the Cueva de las Maravillas (‘Cave of Wonders’) is a collection of brilliantly preserved pictographs and petroglyphs which date back thousands of years. Together they form a lasting legacy of the now-extinct indigenous Taino Indians.

Saona Island
Home to picture-perfect sands and the nesting ground of Hawksbill turtles, Saona Island is a slice of paradise located a short distance off the coast of the mainland. It is also known for providing the setting for Bounty chocolate bar adverts of yesteryear.
