Playa El Médano is Cabo’s main beach, with a good mix of outdoor restaurants and vibrant bars. Beyond the handsome marina is Land's End promontory, site of Playa del Amor (Lover's Beach) and El Arco, a natural archway in the sea cliffs.
Once just a placid fishing village, Cabo has long been a favourite for anglers, looking to land that big catch. Other activities offered on Cabo’s beaches include jet-skiing, parasailing, snorkelling, kitesurfing, diving and horseback-riding can all be easily enjoyed.
El Arco de Cabo San Lucas
This majestic stone arch stands three stories tall above the waves, a truly imposing sight and one of the most distinctive features of Cabo’s coastline. This natural edifice has its own secluded beach and visitors can walk beneath the enormous archway which represents ‘Lands’ End’ for the Baja California peninsula.
At the tip of the peninsular, this region has beaches onto the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez. In this location, the cooling effects of the sea and wind temper summer highs to ensure comfortable temperatures year-round. The sea is always warm – never dropping below room temperatures even in midwinter – making swimming an ideal activity at any time of the year.
