What is the difference between the NHS PCR tests and the paid-for PCR tests from suppliers recommended by the Government?

There is no difference between the NHS tests and those that are required for travel. However, only PCR tests purchased from the Government’s recommended suppliers are approved for use for travel, so as to avoid added pressures to our NHS health care system.

The chargeable tests have a unique code which you will need to provide when completing your Passenger Locator Form (PLF) prior to returning to the UK.

You must book your test before you depart on your cruise.
