A handpicked selection of the world’s most spectacular islands; the legendary icons of incredible cities; remarkable historical, cultural and spiritual sites; a diverse array of amazing wildlife; and awe-inspiring natural wonders: the ingredients of this once-in-a-lifetime holiday are what cruise dreams are made of.

Join Boudicca on this epic journey to Africa, Asia and Australasia, Arabia, the Middle East and the Mediterranean and you’ll enjoy 168-nights of unforgettable sights and highlights. And what's more, thanks to our RIBs, we can now take you even closer to life on the water's edge. Journey away from the usual tourist trails in some of the most awe-inspiring locations on earth, or embellish a bit more if you wish.

Visits to stunning islands in the Canaries, the Indian Ocean, the Andaman and Indonesia will present chances to indulge in gorgeous sunshine and spellbinding scenery. Take in Tenerife’s towering Mount Teide; relax at some of the best beaches on earth in the Seychelles; explore the Ubud rice terraces in beautiful Bali; marvel at the volcanic scenes of lesser-known islands such as Lombok and Java; and much more. You’ll also have opportunities to encounter the endemic fauna and flora of Komodo Island, the natural habitat of the world’s largest lizards; Madagascar, famed for its lemurs, chameleons and geckos; the breathtaking Great Barrier Reef and Kangaroo Island, home to wild kangaroos, wallabies and koalas, in Australia; and Moyenne Island, a breeding ground for giant land tortoises. In South Africa, seek-out the ‘Big Five’ game on unmissable safari adventures during stops at Port Elizabeth and Richards Bay; and see the penguins of Boulders Beach on tour from Cape Town, where magnificent Table Mountain is a sight to behold. Immersive cultural and spiritual experiences await you too. In India, you can soak-up the hustle and bustle of Mumbai; explore Porbandar, the birthplace of Gandhi; and tour to the Taj Mahal from Kochi, while your time in Papua New Guinea will include an opportunity to enjoy the festivity of Alotau’s extravagant Cultural Festival. You can also uncover the impressive mosques and souks of Muscat and Salalah in Oman; and even follow in the footsteps of Jewish, Muslim and Christian pilgrims on tour to Jerusalem from Ashdod, Israel. A combination of fascinating historic sites and modern marvels are also thrown into the mix. Step back in time at astonishing ancient treasures, such as the ‘lost city’ of Petra in Jordan; Athens’ Acropolis ruins and the mighty Parthenon; and Cartagena’s Roman Amphitheatre, and delight in 21st century life during calls into sparkling cities such as Melbourne, the ‘World’s Most Liveable City’; skyscraper-laden Singapore; and Dubai, home to the Burj Khalifa – the world’s tallest building. To top-it-all-off, Boudicca will also make a specially timed visit to Sydney to offer you an opportunity to savour the city’s famous New Year’s Eve celebrations and watch the annual fireworks light up the midnight sky over the iconic Harbour Bridge and Opera House.

Named after the British warrior Queen, Boudicca has built up a loyal following, combining style and space with the renowned personal Fred. Olsen service. Up to 880 guests can sail in comfort on board Boudicca, enjoying the welcoming, home-from-home ambience, ample space and fantastic restaurants, lounges, bars and facilities of a smaller, friendly ocean-going cruise ship.

Real ships
We don’t have boastful megaships. We take immense pride in our fleet of smaller-scaled vessels that retain the style, ambience and understated quality of a country house hotel.  We ensure they remain contemporary too: from winter 2016 to spring 2018 the whole fleet underwent dry dock refits to further enhance the facilities for guests. With the fifth generation Fred. Olsen as Chairman and 170 years of seafaring heritage behind us, we believe we’ve found the perfect formula for you to get the best out of your holiday with us.

Smaller but spacious
A smaller ship doesn’t mean less space; far from it. Each room is comfortably sized, with all that you’ll need to enjoy your holiday. In fact, our rooms are comparable to those on some of the mammoth cruise ships. While our vessels are on a more accessible scale, you can have just as much private space.  With fewer people on board it’s easy to find a quiet spot to relax in peace with a drink or a good book. There’s room to stretch out by the pool and you can get ashore more quickly too. And when you’re ashore, you’re seeing the best of each port of call with hundreds – not thousands – of others, giving you a much more authentic experience.

Service with a smile
Each member of the Fred. Olsen team has been carefully selected for their warm and welcoming personalities. The quality of our people, supported by training and development, ensures they will give you a great holiday: in guest feedback our staff are always the most highly-rated aspect of the whole experience.
