Sailing west-through the sun-kissed Mediterranean from Cyprus, you’ll visit beautiful islands and stunning cities – at a time of year with less tourists around – to discover historical, architectural and cultural highlights galore, and fully immerse yourself in the rich diversity of one of the world’s most captivating regions.

Boudicca takes you to Turkey, where you’ve a chance to explore the fascinating ruins of Ephesus – one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World – on a tour from Kuşadası, and a day to uncover the attractions of sparkling Istanbul. Visit the beautiful Blue Mosque and the glittering UNESCO-listed Topkapi Palace; stroll around Sultan Ahmet Square to see ancient Obelisks and statues; or perhaps explore the iconic Grand Bazaar to sample the hustle and bustle of one of the world’s largest markets, all without having to compete with large tourist crowds.

In Greece, there’s an unmissable opportunity for a less-crowded discovery of Athens; the ruins of the Acropolis and its temples, including the mighty Parthenon; the ancient Plaka district; and Agias Apostoli, one of the oldest churches in Europe await. Piraeus is the starting point for tours to the engrossing Greek capital. Malta boasts many impressive sights too. Valletta’s iconic, UNESCO-listed Grand Harbour is a sight to behold as you sail into the island’s enchanting capital. Once docked you could head into the city to see St John’s Cathedral and the Presidential Palace; or perhaps take tour to the medieval city of Mdina. Meanwhile, for an authentic taste of Morocco, you’ll have an afternoon to enjoy Tangier, a city of soaring minarets, Kasbahs and animated souks; or explore UNESCO-listed Tétouan and its famous ancient medina on tour.

Named after the British warrior Queen, Boudicca has built up a loyal following, combining style and space with the renowned personal Fred. Olsen service. Up to 880 guests can sail in comfort on board Boudicca, enjoying the welcoming, home-from-home ambience, ample space and fantastic restaurants, lounges, bars and facilities of a smaller, friendly ocean-going cruise ship.

In recent years, we have seen a new era emerging in cruising.

There is a trend for everything to get bigger and busier, and for a cruise to be seen as an alternative to a large luxury resort, with a limitless flurry of activity. But this is not for us. Find out more

We are free to do things a different way because we are family-run. Of course some people enjoy the bigger, busier cruises, but it is not for everyone, and it is not for us. We prefer to do things, 'The Olsen Way'.

We have fewer guests, so the atmosphere on board our ships is always warm and civilised. Our smaller ships allow us to visit the more interesting places that the world has to offer.

We pride ourselves on putting our all into the Fred. Olsen cruise experience. Our itineraries are created from scratch every year, our service is genuinely personal and each and every area of our ships is designed by hand.
