With hours of inspirational scenic cruising to experience, and time ashore to get even closer to spectacular fjords too, you’re in for a week of endless rewards on this springtime sailing. Mighty glaciers and breathtaking waterfalls, world-famous railways, spectacular viewpoints and much more – an abundance of Norway’s very best attractions await your discovery.

Unforgettable from start to finish, your foray into the fjords begins with a magical day of scenic cruising. [ReadMoreMob]A bridge at the entrance of Lysefjord restricts larger vessels, but thanks to your ship’s smaller size, you’ll revel in this spellbinding waterway’s uncanny peace and extraordinary landscapes. A journey along the size-restricted Karmsund Strait affords a rare opportunity to admire its countryside scenes and impressive bridges too, before Boudicca takes you to see Langfoss – one of the world’s most beautiful waterfalls – tumbling down the jagged cliffs of Akrafjord. Stopping at Flåm, on the tranquil banks of Aurlandsfjord, provides your first chance to go ashore in search of some of the fjordland’s greatest highlights. A ride on the Flåmsbana Railway, regarded as one of the best train journeys on earth, is highly recommended to see imposing mountains and crashing waterfalls up-close for unmissable photo opportunities. Alternatively, opt to the head to the 650-metre-high Stegastein Lookout, for views of Aurlandsfjord and Sognefjord to savour forever. [ReadMoreDesk]

Up next is Olden, tucked away at the very farthest reaches of Nordfjord. From this pretty village you could set-off on an incredible exploration of the Briksdalen Valley to seek-out the awe-inspiring Briksdal Glacier and see it glistening in the spring light; or perhaps head for Lovatnet Lake, an unspoilt haven and natural habitat for various bird species. Finally, after relaxing scenic cruising back along Nordfjord, and another rewarding journey through the Karmsund Strait, it’s on to Stavanger for a culture-rich end to your cruise. Home to an array of diverse attractions, including the historic Gamla Stavanger district, the interesting Canning Museum and even Norway’s fourth largest shopping mall, you’ll find there’s plenty to uncover in the former ‘European Capital of Culture’. Real ships
We don’t have boastful megaships. We take immense pride in our fleet of smaller-scaled vessels that retain the style, ambience and understated quality of a country house hotel.  We ensure they remain contemporary too: from winter 2016 to spring 2018 the whole fleet underwent dry dock refits to further enhance the facilities for guests. With the fifth generation Fred. Olsen as Chairman and 170 years of seafaring heritage behind us, we believe we’ve found the perfect formula for you to get the best out of your holiday with us.

Smaller but spacious
A smaller ship doesn’t mean less space; far from it. Each room is comfortably sized, with all that you’ll need to enjoy your holiday. In fact, our rooms are comparable to those on some of the mammoth cruise ships. While our vessels are on a more accessible scale, you can have just as much private space.  With fewer people on board it’s easy to find a quiet spot to relax in peace with a drink or a good book. There’s room to stretch out by the pool and you can get ashore more quickly too. And when you’re ashore, you’re seeing the best of each port of call with hundreds – not thousands – of others, giving you a much more authentic experience.

Service with a smile
Each member of the Fred. Olsen team has been carefully selected for their warm and welcoming personalities. The quality of our people, supported by training and development, ensures they will give you a great holiday: in guest feedback our staff are always the most highly-rated aspect of the whole experience.

Named after the British warrior Queen, Boudicca has built up a loyal following, combining style and space with the renowned personal Fred. Olsen service. Up to 880 guests can sail in comfort on board Boudicca, enjoying the welcoming, home-from-home ambience, ample space and fantastic restaurants, lounges, bars and facilities of a smaller, friendly ocean-going cruise ship.
