With ample time at sea to relax on board Boudicca and calls at stunning destinations presenting plenty of highlights, this cruise makes for a wonderful week away. Sailing south you’ll visit a stylish Spanish city for cultural and architectural treasures, before discovering the delights of two breathtaking Atlantic Ocean islands.

After embarking in Dover, settle into life on board your home-from-home at sea during a day of cruising to La Coruña, the first stop on this seven-night sailing. Once docked, the various diverse highlights of this Galician gem are yours to uncover; at Maria Pita Square you can marvel at a collection of architectural delights, such as the grandiose City Hall, while famous landmarks such as the ancient Torre de Hercules await too. For exceptional views of the city and its gorgeous coastline, be sure to visit Monte de San Pedro Park. Alternatively, on a tour, you could opt to visit Santiago de Compostela and its spectacular, UNESCO-listed cathedral. [ReadMore]

Two further days at sea follow as your ship continues on to Madeira. Portugal’s ‘Garden Island’ boasts beautiful botanical gardens such as the Monte Palace Tropical Garden, unique walking trails which showcase spellbinding lush-green landscapes, and impressive natural wonders including Cabo Girão – Europe’s highest cape. The Atlantic Ocean views on offer from Cabo Girão never fail to enthral. Funchal is your gateway to it all, although you could choose to stay in Madeira’s capital and enjoy afternoon tea at the famous Reid’s Hotel. Finally, it’s on to Tenerife in the sun-kissed Canaries. You’ll disembark Boudicca in Santa Cruz, but not before having time to discover attractions such as the mysterious Pyramids of Güímar; or scale Mount Teide – Spain’s highest peak – on an unforgettable adventure. For a relaxing conclusion to your holiday, you could opt to indulge in a spot of sunbathing at your pick of island’s inviting beaches.

Real ships
We’re not interested in gimmicks like zip wires, climbing walls or celebrity chefs. We don’t have boastful megaships. We take immense pride in our fleet of smaller-scaled vessels that retain the style, ambience and understated quality of a country house hotel.  We ensure they remain contemporary too: from winter 2016 to spring 2018 the whole fleet underwent dry dock refits to further enhance the facilities for guests. With the fifth generation Fred. Olsen as Chairman and 170 years of seafaring heritage behind us, we believe we’ve found the perfect formula for you to get the best out of your holiday with us.

Smaller but spacious
A smaller ship doesn’t mean less space; far from it. Each room is comfortably sized, with all that you’ll need to enjoy your holiday. In fact, our rooms are comparable to those on some of the mammoth cruise ships. While our vessels are on a more accessible scale, you can have just as much private space.  With fewer people on board it’s easy to find a quiet spot to relax in peace with a drink or a good book. There’s room to stretch out by the pool and you can get ashore more quickly too. And when you’re ashore, you’re seeing the best of each port of call with hundreds – not thousands – of others, giving you a much more authentic experience.

Service with a smile
Each member of the Fred. Olsen team has been carefully selected for their warm and welcoming personalities. The quality of our people, supported by training and development, ensures they will give you a great holiday: in guest feedback our staff are always the most highly-rated aspect of the whole experience.
