Explore Vast Natural Landscapes
On this cruise, join us as Bolette takes you to the vast landscapes of the African continent and the Indian Ocean. In Sharm el-Sheikh, you can visit Ras Mohammed National Park, a protected area of the Sinai Peninsula comprising both a desert and underwater coral reef while in Safaga, you can embark on a scenic cruise along the famous River Nile. In the Maldives, you can snorkel in the crystalline waters in search of tropical Marine life while in the Seychelles, you can visit Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with unique flora and fauna. Finally, as we call into Africa, adventure across the Serengeti Plains in search of the ‘Big Five’.

Throughout this cruise, you will have the opportunity to discover unique cultures. As we arrive in Tangier, you can taste Moroccan mint tea and learn the secrets behind crafting their signature blend while in Jeddah, you will have the opportunity to venture into the desert to immerse yourself in the Nomadic Bedouin culture. During our time ashore in India, you will have the opportunity to join a Dabbawala on their daily deliveries in Mumbai or get lost in the hustle and bustle of a traditional spice market. Finally in Africa, you can learn all about the colourful herdsmen of the Maasai Mara in Mombasa, discover the importance of the sacred baobab tree in Mamoudzou and witness a traditional wedding ceremony in Tapakala, a small village near Toamasina.
Once-In-A-Lifetime Experiences
On our once-in-a-lifetime overnight experiences, you will have the chance to really immerse yourself in the destination or area that you are visiting, such as searching for the Big Five on safai from Mombasa, or discover the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Garden Route on a four-day adventure from Gqeberha. You will stay off the ship and all of your travel arrangements, accommodation and meals will be organised for you to ensure that your journey is seamless.

What do I pack for a cruise?
The handy checklist below has been created to assist in making sure you remember all the important things to pack for your cruise.
Are there any visa requirements I need to be aware of?
Visa and health requirements can change at any time. It is your own responsibility to ensure that you check with a professionally qualified source and comply with such requirements. UK passport holders will need visas for certain Fred. Olsen cruise holidays and will advised at the time of booking. Your cruise booking information will also detail any requirements applicable to your holiday.
What's the difference between Freedom and Saver fares?
On certain sailings we offer two types of cruise fares; Freedom and Saver Fares.
I'm travelling alone, how will I get to meet people?
Our single guests feel right at home on board our ships; Fred. Olsen have the reputation of sailing the friendliest fleet afloat.
How do I get off the ship if we're at anchor?
Disembarking when your ship's at anchor is a very different experience to when it's docked portside. Getting ashore in this instance often involves the use of the ship's tender, which is accessed via the steps of a secure gangway.
