Offering ample time to experience the delights of ocean cruising, and experience the beauty, tranquillity and charm of two scenic island groups, week-long springtime breaks don’t get much more rewarding than this. On board Bolette you sail north to the Faroe Islands, for a glimpse of their natural splendour. The towering cliffs, rugged coastlines and verdant valleys of Cape Enniberg, Streymoy, Gásadalur and the islands of Hestur and Koltur are remarkable sights, and havens for various species of seabirds. There’s time ashore in the Faroes too; both Tórshavn – the capital – and pretty Klaksvik are rich with culture and Viking history to delve into.[ReadMore]

Closer to home, glorious Scottish isles await you, with explorations in the Shetlands and Orkneys to remember. Lerwick is your gateway to the spectacular coastal scenery of Northmavine and ancient settlements of Jarlshof and Clickimin Broch, though you might opt to go in search of the Shetland’s native ponies, sea birds and other wildlife, while your day in the Orkney’s affords time to uncover beautiful countryside scenes, wildlife and UNESCO-listed Neolithic treasures aplenty on tour from Kirkwall.

While Bolette is one of the largest ships, by overall size, in our fleet, she still has capacity for less than 1,400 guests. So on board you’ll find you have more space in which to relax, in public areas such as the all-season pool and the beautiful two-tiered entertainment theatre, and enjoy a premium level of comfort – as well as our renowned personal service – in the elegant lounges, bars and dining venues.

With its warm, welcoming atmosphere and timeless style, and classic open deck spaces providing a place to fully immerse yourself in the magic of ocean cruising, Bolette is very much in keeping with what our guests have come to expect from a Fred. Olsen ship.
Bringing the world closer

Our size advantage means we can take you to places that some of the larger cruise vessels simply can’t. We dock close to the heart of some of the world’s most beautiful cities and can take you on scenic cruising adventures showcasing inspirational landscapes. Our itineraries are expertly crafted to make the most of this advantage.

Smaller but spacious

Aboard our smaller, friendlier ships you'll find there's plenty of room to stretch out by the pool, enjoy a drink and great conversation with like-minded guests, and make the most of your time away. Sailing with hundreds, not thousands, of others allows you to get ashore faster too, and make the most of each destination.
