Enjoy some well-earned time away on a long awaited escape from it all, as we return to the water and get back to doing what we love – experiencing the relaxation and exploration of cruising. Short and sweet, this sailing is the perfect break, a chance to relax, breathe in the fresh sea air and delight in the beauty of Scottish Isles, all in the space, comfort and warm atmosphere of a smaller ship. What’s more, there’s the additional excitement of getting to join one of the first Fred. Olsen cruises on our beautiful new flagship, Bolette.

This journey has been crafted to show you some of Scotland’s greatest, most dramatic scenic landscapes and natural wonders. As Bolette sails the waters surrounding the Orkneys and Shetlands, you’ll marvel at the imposing Needle, Old Man of Hoy and Duncansby sea stacks, while you may even get to observe fulmars, guillemots and gannets perched on the cliffs of Marwick Head and Sumburgh Head. Wildlife experts from ORCA will be on board to help you spot these native seabirds, and look out for Orcas and other whale species. Experience serene loch cruising too; diversions into Loch Broom and Loch Erilboli will bring scenes of lush-green rolling hills, mountains and lime kilns into view.

Bringing the world closer

Our size advantage means we can take you to places that some of the larger cruise vessels simply can’t. We dock close to the heart of some of the world’s most beautiful cities and can take you on scenic cruising adventures showcasing inspirational landscapes. Our itineraries are expertly crafted to make the most of this advantage.

Smaller but spacious

Aboard our smaller, friendlier ships you'll find there's plenty of room to stretch out by the pool, enjoy a drink and great conversation with like-minded guests, and make the most of your time away. Sailing with hundreds, not thousands, of others allows you to get ashore faster too, and make the most of each destination.

Each member of the Fred. Olsen team has been carefully selected for their warm and welcoming personalities. The quality of our people, supported by training and development, ensures they will give you a great holiday. In fact, 97% of guests rated Fred. Olsen’s friendly, attentive staff ‘Excellent’ or ‘Good’.

While Bolette is one of the largest ships, by overall size, in our fleet, she still has capacity for less than 1,400 guests. So on board you’ll find you have more space in which to relax, in public areas such as the all-season pool and the beautiful two-tiered entertainment theatre, and enjoy a premium level of comfort – as well as our renowned personal service – in the elegant lounges, bars and dining venues.
With its warm, welcoming atmosphere and timeless style, and classic open deck spaces providing a place to fully immerse yourself in the magic of ocean cruising, Bolette is very much in keeping with what our guests have come to expect from a Fred. Olsen ship.
