Rather than simply navigating them, experience mesmerising journeys on gorgeous French rivers on board Bolette. The Gironde and Garonne rivers, flanked by picturesque countryside scenery, are your beautiful route to Bassens – gateway to Bordeaux – and provide plenty of memorable sights. In between these scenic sailings, time ashore in ‘Pearl D'Aquitaine’ allows for discovery of the Bordeaux’s rich history and wine heritage, at sites such as Cathédrale Saint-André, the Grand Théâtre and the Cité du Vin wine museum. You could visit a small family run vineyard nearby, to learn about producing legendary local tipples and taste them at source, too.[ReadMoreMob]

On the beautiful Brittany coast, fascinating St Malo awaits. Take a day to explore the Old Town, encased by imposing granite walls, or enjoy some relaxation at the beach; or perhaps tour to the dramatic island of Mont St Michel and its iconic, fairytale-esque spired abbey. Elsewhere, your summertime escape also includes a rare visit to Belle Ile, Brittany’s ‘beautiful isle’ of wild coastline, pretty towns and glorious beaches, while Bolette also takes you to Normandy and the historic city of Cherbourg, where the Basilica of the Holy Trinity, the Musée des beaux-arts Thomas Henry and Jardin Botanique de la Roche Fauconnière are among the highlights.

While Bolette is one of the largest ships, by overall size, in our fleet, she still has capacity for less than 1,400 guests. So on board you’ll find you have more space in which to relax, in public areas such as the all-season pool and the beautiful two-tiered entertainment theatre, and enjoy a premium level of comfort – as well as our renowned personal service – in the elegant lounges, bars and dining venues.

With its warm, welcoming atmosphere and timeless style, and classic open deck spaces providing a place to fully immerse yourself in the magic of ocean cruising, Bolette is very much in keeping with what our guests have come to expect from a Fred. Olsen ship.
Bringing the world closer

Our size advantage means we can take you to places that some of the larger cruise vessels simply can’t. We dock close to the heart of some of the world’s most beautiful cities and can take you on scenic cruising adventures showcasing inspirational landscapes. Our itineraries are expertly crafted to make the most of this advantage.

Smaller but spacious

Aboard our smaller, friendlier ships you'll find there's plenty of room to stretch out by the pool, enjoy a drink and great conversation with like-minded guests, and make the most of your time away. Sailing with hundreds, not thousands, of others allows you to get ashore faster too, and make the most of each destination.
