This journey through the Med, punctuated by visits to destinations famed for their ancient fortifications and landmarks, makes for a memorable discovery of the region’s rich history and diversity. At the very heart of the itinerary is beautiful Malta; you stop overnight in Valletta when the temperatures here are perfect for exploring the capital and beyond. You’ve ample time to take in Valletta iconic sights, such as St John’s Cathedral and the Presidential Palace, or perhaps tour to the medieval city of Mdina. Sailing in and out of the UNESCO-listed Grand Harbour is an experience to remember too.[ReadMoreMob]

Ancient treasures aplenty also await your discovery in Spain and Morocco. In the Spanish city of Cartagena, Cartagena, a magnificent medieval castle, Roman amphitheatre and Bateria de Castillitos – which guards the city from atop a gorgeous coastal perch – are ‘must-visit’ sites. Meanwhile, on Moroccan shores, you’ve a morning in Tangier, time to explore a city of soaring minarets, Kasbahs and animated souks; or perhaps uncover UNESCO-listed Tétouan and its famous ancient medina on tour. You also visit the Italian island of Sardinia; from Cagliari, stunning rock formations such as the ‘Devil’s Saddle’, salt pools and inviting beaches are within reach; though you may be tempted to stay in the island’s capital to sample the traditional flavours and culture with local wine and folk dancing

While Bolette is one of the largest ships, by overall size, in our fleet, she still has capacity for less than 1,400 guests. So on board you’ll find you have more space in which to relax, in public areas such as the all-season pool and the beautiful two-tiered entertainment theatre, and enjoy a premium level of comfort – as well as our renowned personal service – in the elegant lounges, bars and dining venues.

With its warm, welcoming atmosphere and timeless style, and classic open deck spaces providing a place to fully immerse yourself in the magic of ocean cruising, Bolette is very much in keeping with what our guests have come to expect from a Fred. Olsen ship.
Bringing the world closer

Our size advantage means we can take you to places that some of the larger cruise vessels simply can’t. We dock close to the heart of some of the world’s most beautiful cities and can take you on scenic cruising adventures showcasing inspirational landscapes. Our itineraries are expertly crafted to make the most of this advantage.

Smaller but spacious

Aboard our smaller, friendlier ships you'll find there's plenty of room to stretch out by the pool, enjoy a drink and great conversation with like-minded guests, and make the most of your time away. Sailing with hundreds, not thousands, of others allows you to get ashore faster too, and make the most of each destination.
