Lochs, Islands & the Military Tattoo
Experience the very best of Scotland on this special, nine night summer cruise aboard Boudicca. You’ll visit quaint towns, immerse yourself in the natural beauty of remote islands and enjoy scenic cruising along breathtaking lochs; all before stopping overnight in the capital for two of Britain’s most iconic events.
After departing from Dover the highlights of Dublin – including St Patrick’s Cathedral, the vibrant Temple Bar district and the Guinness Storehouse – await discovery first, with your ship diverting to the Irish capital before venturing into the stunning Scottish lochs. The next morning you’ll be cruising by the historic Duart Castle and gliding through Loch Linnhe en route to Fort William, a picturesque town situated within the shadows of Ben Nevis – Britain’s highest mountain – in the heart of the Highlands. You could spend the day on a tour to Glencoe and marvel at the mountainous scenery, or take a steam train across the magnificent Glenfinnan Viaduct, part of the Hogwarts Express route in Harry Potter. The Isle of Skye – the first of two beautiful islands on your itinerary – is then yours to explore from Portree. Unearth natural wonders, from Kilt Rock to the ‘Old Man of Storr’; or perhaps visit the historic Dunvegan and Eilean Donan Castles, set amongst the island’s rugged landscapes. [ReadMore]
