Visiting destinations picked by our Journey Planners for their natural beauty, you will have ample opportunities to go ‘leaf peeping’ on this unforgettable sailing as the colours of the Canadian landscape turn to the famous fall hues of brown, yellow and red. With five days in Québec province, you can capture the changing colours at two scenic national parks. The glacial valley of Jacques-Cartier National Park can be reached from Québec City, while La Mauricie National Park, with its forests and lakes, can be visited from Trois-Rivières. You’ll also call into the French-speaking town of Havre-Saint-Pierre, Baie-Comeau, with its rich cultural heritage and scenic surroundings, and Port Saguenay, the gateway to more colourful fall foliage and the exceptional ecosystem of the Saguenay National Park. You’ll depart Saguenay via a scenic cruise along the Saguenay River, so you can appreciate fjord-like landscapes from the comfort of Borealis.

Other destinations on your exploration of Canada include two visits to Newfoundland. Corner Brook is well-placed for exploring the UNESCO-listed Gros Morne National Park, an incredible landscape of fjords, mountains, forests and cliffs, which comes alive during this vibrant season. Elsewhere, St John’s is renowned for its friendly locals, and a visit affords the chance to ramble Newfoundland’s coastal trails or visit Cape Spear, home to Newfoundland’s oldest surviving lighthouse.

Borealis, like her sister ship Bolette, has capacity for less than 1,400 guests but is larger in overall size than the other vessels in the Fred. Olsen fleet. This means when you come on board for a memorable cruise holiday, to relax and enjoy a premium level of comfort – as well as our renowned personal service – in the elegant public areas, lounges, bars and dining venues, you have even more space in which to do so.

With its warm, welcoming atmosphere and timeless style, and classic open deck spaces providing a place to fully immerse yourself in the magic of ocean cruising, Borealis is very much in keeping with what our guests have come to expect from a Fred. Olsen ship.
