Enjoy abundant tropical sunshine, marvel at simply breathtaking sights and discover unforgettable experiences galore on this indulgent, fortnight-long island-hopping adventure in the Indian Ocean – an incredible way to end the year.

Boudicca will be waiting for you in Port Louis, where you can experience the best of Mauritius before setting sail. Perhaps enjoy a taste of the Mauritian lifestyle in the city, visiting the vibrant central market, exploring the local Stamp Museum and sampling delicious teas in the beautiful Chinese Pagoda; or take a tour to bask in the island’s natural beauty. The south of the island is a showcase of wonders, including the Trou-aux-Cerfs Volcano and the ‘Seven Coloured Earth’ sand dunes. A call into Port Reunion follows, for the chance to marvel at the sweeping volcanic landscapes, dense forests and tumbling waterfalls of Reunion Island, before celebrating New Year’s on board as you sail to the stunning Seychelles. An abundance of the archipelago’s ‘must-do’ experiences await you during two days on Praslin Island and a full day on Mahé. Perhaps join an incredible Robinson Crusoe Adventure tour from Praslin Island in search of huge Coco de Mer nuts and Aldabra Giant Land Tortoises, one of the largest tortoise species in the world; and discover the beautiful, uninhabited island of Moyenne on a memorable catamaran cruise from Mahé. Of course you have your pick of paradise beaches too, such as Anse Lazio and Cote d’Or. That’s all yours to enjoy before sailing by Silhouette Island at sunset – an awe-inspiring spectacle. Then in the Maldives, a slender chain of gorgeous coral islands, you’ll visit two incredible destinations on consecutive days. First you’ll experience the Maldives’ energetic side with a call into Malé. Sprawled across an entire islet, the small, yet bustling capital feels like a bite-size version of the vast metropolises found in mainland Asia, boasting corridor-like streets lined with tall tower blocks, a busy port and pretty parks. Explore the city at your leisure, or perhaps tour to the tropical island resort of Kuda Bandos and feel the soft sand between your toes as you stroll along the picture-perfect white beaches. You’ll also sample the laid-back life at Utheemu, where you can admire the stunning scenery of an island which, according to locals, changes shape with the changes in weather; and revel in the history of the birthplace of Sultan Mohamed Thakurufaanu, the Maldives' national hero. Your exotic holiday will conclude with a relaxing day at sea. Enjoy all the facilities and activities on board Boudicca before reaching Colombo, from where you’ll journey back home.

Named after the British warrior Queen, Boudicca has built up a loyal following, combining style and space with the renowned personal Fred. Olsen service. Up to 880 guests can sail in comfort on board Boudicca, enjoying the welcoming, home-from-home ambience, ample space and fantastic restaurants, lounges, bars and facilities of a smaller, friendly ocean-going cruise ship.

Real ships
We don’t have boastful megaships. We take immense pride in our fleet of smaller-scaled vessels that retain the style, ambience and understated quality of a country house hotel.  We ensure they remain contemporary too: from winter 2016 to spring 2018 the whole fleet underwent dry dock refits to further enhance the facilities for guests. With the fifth generation Fred. Olsen as Chairman and 170 years of seafaring heritage behind us, we believe we’ve found the perfect formula for you to get the best out of your holiday with us.

Smaller but spacious
A smaller ship doesn’t mean less space; far from it. Each room is comfortably sized, with all that you’ll need to enjoy your holiday. In fact, our rooms are comparable to those on some of the mammoth cruise ships. While our vessels are on a more accessible scale, you can have just as much private space.  With fewer people on board it’s easy to find a quiet spot to relax in peace with a drink or a good book. There’s room to stretch out by the pool and you can get ashore more quickly too. And when you’re ashore, you’re seeing the best of each port of call with hundreds – not thousands – of others, giving you a much more authentic experience.

Service with a smile
Each member of the Fred. Olsen team has been carefully selected for their warm and welcoming personalities. The quality of our people, supported by training and development, ensures they will give you a great holiday: in guest feedback our staff are always the most highly-rated aspect of the whole experience.
