Enjoy abundant tropical sunshine, marvel at simply breathtaking sights and discover unforgettable experiences galore on this indulgent, fortnight-long island-hopping adventure in the Indian Ocean.

You’ll set sail from the Sri Lankan capital of Colombo, heading south-west to the Maldives' slender chain of gorgeous coral islands. First you’ll sample the laidback lifestyle in Uligamu, where you can observe the friendly locals going about their day-to-day business, browse the markets, or head to the beach to relax on the soft sands and dip your toes in the warm waters. Then to capture the Maldives’ energetic side, you’ll visit Malé. Sprawled across an entire islet, the small, yet bustling capital feels like a bite-size version of the vast metropolises found in mainland Asia, boasting corridor-like streets lined with tall tower blocks, a busy port and pretty parks. Explore the city at your leisure, or perhaps tour to the tropical island resort of Kuda Bandos and feel the soft sand between your toes as you stroll along the picture-perfect white beaches. From the Maldives it’s on to the Seychelles, where you’ll visit two of the archipelago’s most beautiful and sought-after islands in search of an abundance of ‘must-do’ experiences. [ReadMore]

With a full day on Mahé and almost two days on Praslin Island, you could opt to explore the UNESCO-listed forests of Vallée de Mai to marvel at huge Coco de Mer nuts and spot rare Black Parrots; go in seach of Aldabra Giant Land Tortoises, one of the largest tortoise species in the world; and take your pick of a few of the Seychelles’ quintessential beaches. The postcard-perfect paradise beaches of Anse Lazio and Cote d’Or in particular are not to be missed. Sandwiched between these calls is a magical cruise by Silhouette Island at sunset – a simply unforgettable spectacle. A call into Port Reunion follows for the chance to marvel at the sweeping volcanic landscapes, dense forests and tumbling waterfalls of Reunion Island, before Boudicca finally arrives in Port Louis, Mauritius. You could sample the diversity of the Mauritian way of life, from tasting delicious teas at the beautiful Chinese Pagoda to exploring the colourful central market; or take a tour to bask in the island’s natural beauty. The south of the island is well worth exploring for its showcase of wonders, including the Trou-aux-Cerfs Volcano and the ‘Seven Coloured Earth’ sand dunes.

Please note, this is an adult only sailing (18+).

Real ships
We’re not interested in gimmicks like zip wires, climbing walls or celebrity chefs. We don’t have boastful megaships. We take immense pride in our fleet of smaller-scaled vessels that retain the style, ambience and understated quality of a country house hotel.  We ensure they remain contemporary too: from winter 2016 to spring 2018 the whole fleet underwent dry dock refits to further enhance the facilities for guests. With the fifth generation Fred. Olsen as Chairman and 170 years of seafaring heritage behind us, we believe we’ve found the perfect formula for you to get the best out of your holiday with us.

Smaller but spacious
A smaller ship doesn’t mean less space; far from it. Each room is comfortably sized, with all that you’ll need to enjoy your holiday. In fact, our rooms are comparable to those on some of the mammoth cruise ships. While our vessels are on a more accessible scale, you can have just as much private space.  With fewer people on board it’s easy to find a quiet spot to relax in peace with a drink or a good book. There’s room to stretch out by the pool and you can get ashore more quickly too. And when you’re ashore, you’re seeing the best of each port of call with hundreds – not thousands – of others, giving you a much more authentic experience.

Service with a smile
Each member of the Fred. Olsen team has been carefully selected for their warm and welcoming personalities. The quality of our people, supported by training and development, ensures they will give you a great holiday: in guest feedback our staff are always the most highly-rated aspect of the whole experience.
