This exciting 15-night holiday on board Boudicca showcases exactly what cruising is all about. After embarking in Dover you’ll hop between beautiful cities and islands all the way to the Suez Canal and beyond, with each destination offering a diverse array of sights and experiences that you’ll never forget.

Your first port of call is Leixoes for tours to Oporto – Portugal’s attraction-packed second city – where highlights include the imposing cathedral, the beautiful Baroque-style Clérigos Church and many world-famous port-wine cellars. Be sure to wander the charming streets of the UNESCO-listed Ribeira District too. It’s then on to the historic Spanish city of Cádiz where Boudicca will dock alongside Balmoral, Braemar and Black Watch – for only the second time ever – as part of the ‘Captains in Cádiz’ event. You’ll enjoy themed entertainment, food and fun on board and on the quayside to celebrate the 170th anniversary of Fred. Olsen's beginnings in shipping – an experience that promises to be simply unforgettable. A relaxing day in Ibiza concludes the Spanish leg of your holiday, with the chance to stroll around the UNESCO-listed old town, Dalt Vila, or soak up the sunshine on gorgeous beaches. [ReadMore]

From Ibiza you’ll continue on your journey through the Mediterranean, with Malta the next island on your itinerary. Valletta – the island’s spectacular capital – is one of the most beautiful places on earth to sail into, so be sure to enjoy the view from the open decks as you sail into the iconic Grand Harbour. Once ashore, explore the ancient walled city to see architectural wonders such as St. John’s Co-Cathedral; or perhaps visit the breathtaking Blue Grotto. Another historic capital awaits you next, this time on the Greek island of Crete. Iraklion is a city of contrasts and offers something for everyone, from high-end stores and excellent restaurants, to fascinating museums featuring ancient artefacts dating back as far as 3,000 years ago. Then as this incredible voyage comes to an end you’ll experience a scenic cruise through the Suez Canal before disembarking in Aqaba, Jordan. Before flying home, don’t miss the chance to join a night-tour to the Lost City of Petra, one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World.

Real ships
We’re not interested in gimmicks like zip wires, climbing walls or celebrity chefs. We don’t have boastful megaships. We take immense pride in our fleet of smaller-scaled vessels that retain the style, ambience and understated quality of a country house hotel.  We ensure they remain contemporary too: from winter 2016 to spring 2018 the whole fleet underwent dry dock refits to further enhance the facilities for guests. With the fifth generation Fred. Olsen as Chairman and 170 years of seafaring heritage behind us, we believe we’ve found the perfect formula for you to get the best out of your holiday with us.

Smaller but spacious
A smaller ship doesn’t mean less space; far from it. Each room is comfortably sized, with all that you’ll need to enjoy your holiday. In fact, our rooms are comparable to those on some of the mammoth cruise ships. While our vessels are on a more accessible scale, you can have just as much private space.  With fewer people on board it’s easy to find a quiet spot to relax in peace with a drink or a good book. There’s room to stretch out by the pool and you can get ashore more quickly too. And when you’re ashore, you’re seeing the best of each port of call with hundreds – not thousands – of others, giving you a much more authentic experience.

Service with a smile
Each member of the Fred. Olsen team has been carefully selected for their warm and welcoming personalities. The quality of our people, supported by training and development, ensures they will give you a great holiday: in guest feedback our staff are always the most highly-rated aspect of the whole experience.
