The destinations our Journey Planners have selected for this cruise to the scenic 'Emerald Isle' and Scottish islands are steeped in Celtic heritage. They have also included an incredible amount of scenic cruising, with Borealis diverting away from the main coastal routes to show you a huge variety of sights. Your journey includes sailing past an incredible array of islands, including Tory Island – Ireland's most remote inhabited land. You will also cruise an Irish Lough and a Scottish Loch and pass the dramatic Cliffs of Moher and the historical site of Dún Aonghasa fort.

Your time ashore is set to be equally rewarding. Culture seekers will enjoy unearthing the myths and legends of Fingal's Cave on the Isle of Staffa, viewed from the comfort of Borealis. The site has links to the feuding mythological giants Finn McCool and Benandonner. In Cobh, you will be ideally placed for unearthing the history of the Titanic or kissing the famous Blarney Stone. Elsewhere, you can enjoy visits to Douglas – the historic capital of the Isle of Man, and charming Galway, rich in medieval heritage.

Borealis, like her sister ship Bolette, has capacity for less than 1,400 guests but is larger in overall size than the other vessels in the Fred. Olsen fleet. This means when you come on board for a memorable cruise holiday, to relax and enjoy a premium level of comfort – as well as our renowned personal service – in the elegant public areas, lounges, bars and dining venues, you have even more space in which to do so.

With its warm, welcoming atmosphere and timeless style, and classic open deck spaces providing a place to fully immerse yourself in the magic of ocean cruising, Borealis is very much in keeping with what our guests have come to expect from a Fred. Olsen ship.
