An array of diverse sights and experiences await you on this seven night spring break combining calls into a trio of fascinating destinations with scenic cruising along highly-rated size-restricted German waterways.

Following a leisurely day at sea after departing Newcastle, your German jaunt begins with a full day in Bremen after navigating the Weser River – a route only permitted to smaller ships. There’s no coach journey from the coastal port of Bremerhaven to endure; instead you can go ashore whenever you’re ready after your comfortable night’s sleep and explore Bremen to your heart’s content. Take time to wander the historic streets and you’ll be rewarded by the architectural delights of the UNESCO-listed Market Square, including the 15th century Town Hall and an array of gothic-style structures; and the contrasting sights of the medieval Schnoor and modern Überseestadt districts. You’ll then have several hours to appreciate the unspoilt beauty of gorgeous German countryside as you sail the size-restricted Kiel Canal en route to your next port of call, Warnemünde. This pretty seaside town boasts inviting white sand beaches, plenty of friendly pubs and restaurants and an historic lighthouse offering superb views of the Baltic Sea. You’ll also be perfectly placed to embark on a boat trip along the peaceful River Warnow to Rostock. Take the tour to this enchanting city and you’ll discover landmarks such as beautiful City Hall and St Mary’s Church; and even have the chance to visit a local microbrewery and sample a selection of traditional German brews. Finally a call into Kiel, where highlights include the Laboe Naval Memorial, Holstenstraße – one of Germany’s longest shopping streets – and the 13th century Nikolaikirche, is followed by another glide along the Kiel Canal as you head back to Newcastle; the perfect way to end this well-earned week away.
