Braemar showcases France at its finest, sailing meandering waterways through gorgeous landscapes, all the way to inspiring destinations where abundant historical, architectural and cultural highlights await. Sailing the Loire, you’ll experience serene scenic cruising passing by the river’s tree-lined banks en route to Nantes, gateway to famous vineyards sprawled across the picturesque Loire Valley. Your smaller ship docks in the centre of Nantes, so attractions such as Château des ducs de Bretagne and Cathédrale Saint-Pierre et Saint-Paul – are also easily uncovered just a gentle walk from your ship’s gangway too.

On the banks of the Seine, take your exploration ashore in Rouen, a city alive with legendary tales of fascinating French history. Wandering the charming streets and alleyways, taking in incredible sites such as the magnificent gothic cathedral; Aître St. Maclou cemetery, which dates back to the time of the Great Plague; and the medieval architecture of Place du Vieux-Marché, is like walking back through centuries. Upon departure from Rouen, picture-perfect scenes of lush-green countryside fronted by quaint communes come into view, as Braemar sails gently back along the Seine. At the mouth of the river, the cobbled streets and historic Vieux Bassin of Honfleur are also yours to explore.

Sailing with hundreds, not thousands, of others allows you to get ashore faster too, and make the most of each destination.
