With Braemar taking you closer to the highlights of fabulous cities in France and Spain, there are plenty of opportunities for inspirational exploration. A visit to Seville is an undoubted highlight; your smaller ship docks in the heart of this Andalusian treasure, bringing its very best attractions within easy reach. Simply step ashore and explore, without losing time travelling to and from the ship, and seek-out sites such as Moorish Alcázar Palace and the magnificent Gothic Cathedral. During an overnight stay, you can watch – and feel the emotion of – a traditional flamenco show too, and even learn the techniques from a local bailaora.

As well as Seville, the Spanish leg of your adventure packs in Galician gems and another Andalusian delight, and again you’ll benefit from Braemar’s ability to berth close to the centre of each. You’ll find it easy to immerse yourself in the rich maritime heritage of La Coruna; uncover the best of Vigo, from sandy beaches to the charming old quarter; and delve into Cádiz’s maze of cobblestone streets, lined with impressive ancient landmarks and traditional tapas houses. The piece de resistance is a visit the French city of Nantes, gateway to the wine regions and vineyards of the beautiful Loire Valley, and scenic cruising by the countryside-flanked-banks of the Loire River.

Our size advantage means we can take you to places that some of the larger cruise vessels simply can’t. Our itineraries are expertly crafted to make the most of this advantage.

Aboard our smaller, friendlier ships you'll find there's plenty of room to stretch out by the pool, enjoy a drink and great conversation with like-minded guests, and make the most of your time away. Sailing with hundreds, not thousands, of others allows you to get ashore faster too, and make the most of each destination.

Each member of the Fred. Olsen team has been carefully selected for their warm and welcoming personalities. The quality of our people, supported by training and development, ensures they will give you a great holiday. In fact, 97% of guests rated Fred. Olsen’s friendly, attentive staff ‘Excellent’ or ‘Good’.

Elegant Braemar is the shortest of Fred. Olsen's four smaller, friendly ocean-going cruise ships, with dimensions perfect for cruising picturesque, size-restricted rivers and docking in the heart of fascinating towns and cities.

Like the rest of the fleet, Braemar assumes the welcoming feel and intimacy of a country house hotel, and a sense of timeless style and elegance flows through the ship's comfortable bars and lounges, restaurants and spacious accommodation for up to 929 guests.
