After setting sail from Southampton, you’ll revel in an unrivalled sense of escapism during six uninterrupted days of Atlantic Ocean cruising as you head for the Caribbean. When you finally make landfall, there’s a chance to discover the best of Bermuda, with its fascinating historic monuments and fortifications, pretty beaches and pastel-hued towns, before continuing on to the USA.[ReadMore] There are five days on the southeast coast to look forward to; in South Carolina, learn about the origins of Charleston dance in the city it was named after, then sail to Florida. Sun-kissed beaches, streets, boulevards and promenades famed for their arts, cultural highlights and culinary delights, and even the Kennedy Space Station are among many attractions you could discover during time in your Floridian destinations. Heading to South and Central America, you get to experience a memorable navigation of the Panama Canal, watching the impressive locks and dams of one of the world’s greatest engineering feats in action; visit Costa Rica, where Golfito and Puerto Caldera serve as gateways to lush rainforests and nature reserves teeming with native flora and fauna; and call at Acapulco, Mexico.

You’ll then experience a once-in-a-lifetime journey to the ‘Land Down Under’, stopping at a string of Pacific islands en route. Hawaii beckons, with three islands awaiting discovery. Take in sights such as Oahu’s Diamond Head; immersive yourself in the culture and beauty of Maui; marvel at the volcanic gems of Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea; and even go in search of whales. When your ship breaks the waters of the South Pacific, paradise awaits you at a trio of idyllic destinations; Raiatea, Tahiti and Bora Bora boast volcanic landscapes and jungle-rich interiors to explore, and the beaches that frame each island are as unspoilt and postcard-perfect as it gets. You’ll then experience both sides of New Zealand, feeling the energy of Auckland and the tranquillity of picturesque Picton – and famous vineyards nearby – and breathtaking waterways, before your adventure ends in Sydney. Enjoy time to see Sydney’s world-famous attractions, including the Opera House, the Harbour Bridge and the revered Royal Botanic Garden; and perhaps even tour to Bondi Beach, to capture one of Australia’s most photographed scenes.

Borealis, like her sister ship Bolette, has capacity for less than 1,400 guests but is larger in overall size than the other vessels in the Fred. Olsen fleet. This means when you come on board for a memorable cruise holiday, to relax and enjoy a premium level of comfort – as well as our renowned personal service – in the elegant public areas, lounges, bars and dining venues, you have even more space in which to do so.

With its warm, welcoming atmosphere and timeless style, and classic open deck spaces providing a place to fully immerse yourself in the magic of ocean cruising, Borealis is very much in keeping with what our guests have come to expect from a Fred. Olsen ship.
