After enduring another long, cold and gloomy winter, this escape to the Canaries provides the welcome relief of sunshine, sand and beautiful island scenery. Your time at the trio of Canary Islands you visit can be as restful and relaxing as you wish; at each you’ll find plenty of places to take the weight off and enjoy the warm sun, whether it’s outside a local bar or at one of the many inviting beaches. On La Gomera, you may even opt to indulge yourself at the Olsen family-owned Tecina Hotel. [ReadMore]

If you wish to experience an exploration adventure, there are plenty of sights and highlights awaiting discovery amongst the islands’ scenic interiors. You could scale Mount Teide for unforgettable views of Tenerife’s volcanic landscapes; see the natural wonders of San Antonio Volcanic Park, such as the Teneguia Volcano, up-close on La Palma; and seek out the volcanic sites of La Gomera too. Not far from the Canaries, there’s also a visit to the floral Portuguese island of Madeira; in Funchal, perhaps ride the cable car and watch people ride toboggans down the capital’s hills, or take in lush-green scenery uncovered via the unique levada trails.

Bringing the world closer

Our size advantage means we can take you to places that some of the larger cruise vessels simply can’t. We dock close to the heart of some of the world’s most beautiful cities and can take you on scenic cruising adventures showcasing inspirational landscapes. Our itineraries are expertly crafted to make the most of this advantage.

Smaller but spacious

Aboard our smaller, friendlier ships you'll find there's plenty of room to stretch out by the pool, enjoy a drink and great conversation with like-minded guests, and make the most of your time away. Sailing with hundreds, not thousands, of others allows you to get ashore faster too, and make the most of each destination.

Each member of the Fred. Olsen team has been carefully selected for their warm and welcoming personalities. The quality of our people, supported by training and development, ensures they will give you a great holiday. In fact, 97% of guests rated Fred. Olsen’s friendly, attentive staff ‘Excellent’ or ‘Good’.

While Bolette is one of the largest ships, by overall size, in our fleet, she still has capacity for less than 1,400 guests. So on board you’ll find you have more space in which to relax, in public areas such as the all-season pool and the beautiful two-tiered entertainment theatre, and enjoy a premium level of comfort – as well as our renowned personal service – in the elegant lounges, bars and dining venues.

With its warm, welcoming atmosphere and timeless style, and classic open deck spaces providing a place to fully immerse yourself in the magic of ocean cruising, Bolette is very much in keeping with what our guests have come to expect from a Fred. Olsen ship.
