Escape to the Netherlands in the spring on a rewarding short break on board Boudicca and uncover the delights of two captivating cities, Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Your two days ashore will be filled with highlights and memorable sights, from famous tulips gardens to world-renowned museums and unique architectural wonders.

After sailing overnight from Dover to the Netherlands, your ship will call first into Amsterdam for a full-day stop in the vibrant Dutch capital. With time to take your pick of the abundant attractions here, you could opt to explore the UNESCO-listed Canal Ring district to marvel at the grand multi-million Euro mansions lining the city’s waterways; visit fascinating museums such as Anne Frank House and the Van Gogh Museum; and even venture into the legendary ‘Red Light’ district for plenty of unique sights. [ReadMore] Away from the city centre, you could opt to tour to the gorgeous Keukenhof Gardens. The millions of tulips displayed at the Keukenhof burst into bloom into spring, creating a sea of colour that has to be seen to be believed.

Then it’s on to Rotterdam, the Netherlands’ eclectic second city. You can admire the striking Erasmusbrug Bridge as you glide into port in the morning via the Nieuwe Mass, before heading ashore to uncover fantastic museums and a collection of unique architectural wonders. Among Rotterdam’s ‘must-see’ sites are the unusual 1970s Cube Houses and the Markthal, a magnificently modern structure in the heart of the city. Alternatively, you could take the opportunity to tour to Kinderdijk, situated just a short distance from Rotterdam. UNESCO-listed Kinderdijk is world-famous for its iconic, typically Dutch scenes of flat countryside and historic windmills; the photo opportunities on offer here are not-to-be-missed.
