Once docked, you could wander into Kotor’s town centre to see fine examples of Romanesque architecture; or perhaps tour to Perast, a Baroque town renowned for its pretty islets. An overnight stay in Split affords you time to discover many must-visit sites tucked away within this Roman city’s historic walls, such as the ruins of the magnificent Diocletian’s Palace. The UNESCO-listed medieval city of Trogir and beautiful Krka National Park – home of the spectacular Skradinski Buk waterfall – are within reach on tours from Split too.
