This incredible journey of discovery really goes further, with Braemar cruising to a string of classic Caribbean and captivating South and Central American destinations in just two weeks, to provide an authentic taste of each region’s rich cultures, history and remarkable beauty.

The starting point for this blissful voyage is the beautiful Dominican Republic, where your smaller ship awaits at Santo Domingo, ready to guide you on your unforgettable voyage. Once on board, you’ll depart for a relaxing day at sea to settle in, as you head for Port Royal. This charming Jamaican village is your gateway to Kingston; take a tour to the capital – and former home of Bob Marley – for reggae, colonial heritage and flavours of jerk chicken and local beer. Soon after, an extended stay in Havana allows ample time to soak up the fabled Cuban city’s Latin culture; the vibrant atmosphere of the UNESCO-listed Habana Vieja; and see the sights via a classic car. Perhaps learn to dance the rumba, mambo and cha cha too; and catch the iconic Tropicana Cabaret.

Then it’s on to the Mexican island of Cozumel, for chances to discover remarkable Mayan ruins and snorkel the world’s second largest coral reefs, before your South and Central American adventures begin. Braemar will head to Belize, where the narrow streets and canals of Belize City are yours to explore. St. John’s Cathedral – the oldest Anglican Church in Central America – and the Museum of Belize are among the many must-visit attractions to discover, while the fauna-rich waters and reefs of Turneffe Atoll Marine Reserve and Lighthouse Reef are within reach here too. Finally, after a visit to Colombia and Cartagena de Indias, to explore the ancient walled city and immerse yourself in fascinating Spanish colonial history, it’s back to Santo Domingo – the Americas’ oldest capital city – and discover an abundance of centuries-old architectural highlights.

Aboard our smaller, friendlier ships you'll find there's plenty of room to stretch out by the pool, enjoy a drink and great conversation with like-minded guests, and make the most of your time away. Sailing with hundreds, not thousands, of others allows you to get ashore faster too, and make the most of each destination.

Like the rest of the fleet, Braemar assumes the welcoming feel and intimacy of a country house hotel, and a sense of timeless style and elegance flows through the ship's comfortable bars and lounges, restaurants and spacious accommodation for up to 929 guests.
