Cuba to Spain & Malta
Making for an incredible adventure, this cruise combines the sights and highlights of the Caribbean, the Balkans and gorgeous Greek islands, as well as unforgettable ocean and scenic cruising experiences.[ReadMoreMob] You’ll meet Braemar in Cuba and have two days in Havana to see its famous sites, sip ‘proper’ daiquiri and mojito, or even enjoy an evening at the Tropicana, and visit colourful Bermuda, before enjoying a magical Transatlantic crossing with a stop at the verdant Azores en route. Then, after stopping in Spain to take in the delights of Andalusia, you’re in for a memorable Balkan discovery. Capture the beauty and history UNESCO-listed Dubrovnik and Split, amongst their ancient ruins and fortifications, and see the sights of Kotor, including Venetian Works of Defence, built between the 15th and 17th centuries. Enjoy rare visits to the Albanian city of Durres, a city awash with the contrasting architectural wonders of various eras, and ancient Crotone, which has stood on Italy’s Calabrese coast since 4th century BC, too. Plus, delight in the scenic splendour of the Strait of Messina and fjord-like Bay of Kotor.
In Greece, you’ll get to feel a unique sense of excitement while smaller-sized Braemar navigates the Corinth Canal, sailing serenely between carefully carved, pinching cliffs to provide dramatic views rarely seen from an ocean cruise ship. There are visits to Greek islands too; step back to the Byzantine era, taking in the Cretan delights and striking architecture of Agios Nikolaos; and trail the ancient sites of Rhodes, from Rhodes Town’s Palace of the Grand Masters and Avenue of the Knights to Lindos’ ruins. At Syros and Kefallonia, Braemar’s size-advantage comes to the fore again, allowing you to dock close to heart of Ermoupoli and Argostoli, where pastel-hued villas and palm-lined promenades, Ouzeries and glorious beaches exude Mediterranean magic. Meanwhile, on the mainland, Katakolon and Pireaus are gateways to the iconic landmarks of Olympia – the home of the Olympic Games – and Athens, such as the awe-inspiring Acropolis.

What's Included?

Upgrade to All Inclusive Drinks Package is available as a chargeable optional extra and can be added to your booking up to six days prior to your cruise departing.
The Fred. Olsen Difference
Our size advantage means we can take you to places that some of the larger cruise vessels simply can’t. We dock close to the heart of some of the world’s most beautiful cities and can take you on scenic cruising adventures showcasing inspirational landscapes. Our itineraries are expertly crafted to make the most of this advantage.
Aboard our smaller, friendlier ships you'll find there's plenty of room to stretch out by the pool, enjoy a drink and great conversation with like-minded guests, and make the most of your time away. Sailing with hundreds, not thousands, of others allows you to get ashore faster too, and make the most of each destination.
Each member of the Fred. Olsen team has been carefully selected for their warm and welcoming personalities. The quality of our people, supported by training and development, ensures they will give you a great holiday. In fact, 97% of guests rated Fred. Olsen’s friendly, attentive staff ‘Excellent’ or ‘Good’.
About Your Ship
Braemar is the shortest of Fred. Olsen's four smaller, friendly ocean-going cruise ships, with dimensions perfect for cruising picturesque, size-restricted rivers and docking in the heart of fascinating towns and cities.
Like the rest of the fleet, Braemar assumes the welcoming feel and intimacy of a country house hotel, and a sense of timeless style and elegance flows through the ship's comfortable bars and lounges, restaurants and spacious accommodation for up to 929 guests.
