You’re sure to be tempted by traditional siderias and pastry shops nearby too, offering a ‘real taste’ of Asturias. In France, your time in beautiful Normandy will be spent taking in the delights of the captivating regional capital, as well as the glorious countryside of the River Seine. An early morning glide along the Seine will present you with your first glimpse of the river’s postcard-perfect, lush-green landscapes and pretty communes as you sail all the way to Rouen. An extended-stay in Rouen will afford plenty of time to delve deep into French history at Place du Vieux Marché, where Joan of Arc was burned at the stake; relax with a coffee at one of the friendly cafés in the historic centre; and visit the spectacular Gothic cathedral. Alternatively, you may opt to tour to Claude Monet’s beautiful house and gardens; or even head to Paris on a romantic evening trip, to stroll the Champs-Élysées, see famous landmarks such as the Arc de Triomphe and the iconic Eiffel Tower and capture the French’s capital’s unmistakable culture. Upon departure from Rouen, Boudicca takes you back along the Seine in daylight hours, for another opportunity to capture the enchanting riverside scenes.
