A perfect pre-Christmas break, this is a journey crafted to provide a rewarding discovery of three fine European cities.[ReadMoreMob] Visiting the Netherlands, you’ll sail into Amsterdam via the North Sea Canal; docking close to the centre of the Dutch capital means attractions such as Anne Frank House are just a short distance from your ship. You’ve also ample time to explore the UNESCO-listed Canal Ring, by foot, bike or on a boat tour of the city’s iconic canals too.

In Germany, sail the River Elbe to Hamburg, where traditional Christmas markets will be in full swing. You’ll get to see the twinkling lights and decorations, smell and taste the spicy flavours of mulled wine and gingerbread, and simply soak up the excitable atmosphere. Enjoy time to see the impressive landmarks here, and take a scenic boat tour of the canals and Alster Lake too. Finally, it’s the French city of Honfleur, from where you can tour to a distillery to learn about and taste some of Normandy’s finest ciders and calvados. Within the city itself, perhaps stop by a café or bar to enjoy local wines and camembert after wandering the historic streets and Vieux Bassin.

Borealis, like her sister ship Bolette, has capacity for less than 1,400 guests but is larger in overall size than the other vessels in the Fred. Olsen fleet. This means when you come on board for a memorable cruise holiday, to relax and enjoy a premium level of comfort – as well as our renowned personal service – in the elegant public areas, lounges, bars and dining venues, you have even more space in which to do so.

With its warm, welcoming atmosphere and timeless style, and classic open deck spaces providing a place to fully immerse yourself in the magic of ocean cruising, Borealis is very much in keeping with what our guests have come to expect from a Fred. Olsen ship.
