After meeting Braemar in the paradise of Barbados, you have the chance to immerse yourself in the Caribbean’s spellbinding beauty and absorbing cultures to the full with visits to four wonderful West Indian islands, before heading for home across the Atlantic, stopping in the Azores and mainland Spain along the way.

Your holiday begins in Bridgetown, the beautiful Barbadian capital, from where you will embark on four consecutive days of unforgettable idyllic island discovery. Once docked, you could see the Pitons’ mighty peaks up-close on tour; seek out the bubbling Soufrière Volcano; or for a unique experience, opt to visit a local school and help students with harvesting their produce. Sailing onwards, the spectacular landscapes continue at St Kitts, where scenes of sugarcane fields, dense forests and spectacular coastline await exploration. No time here is complete without enjoying a ride on the St. Kitts Scenic Railway, widely regarded as one of the greatest and most picturesque train journeys in the world. Alternatively, you could while away a few hours in Basseterre, admiring the historic architecture of the island’s capital; and visit the UNESCO-listed Brimstone Hill Fortress. [ReadMoreDesk]

it’s on to St John’s, the capital of Antigua – a spectacular island boasting 365 glorious beaches. You won’t have be able to discover every stretch of gorgeous golden sand here, however you will have plenty of time to relax and soak up the sunshine on some of the island’s best beaches if you wish. Elsewhere, you could instead choose to explore the busy market in St John’s; or discover some of the island’s other highlights including the Shirley Heights lookout, Nelson’s Dockyard and the English harbour. Stunning St Maarten is your final Caribbean call. Docking in Philipsburg, you’ll be able to unwind on quintessentially Caribbean beaches one last time; explore the 17th century battlements of Fort Amsterdam and Fort Willem; or even join a sun-kissed catamaran sailing on the Caribbean Sea. Although the visit to St Maarten concludes your Caribbean exploration, your cruise doesn’t end just yet. En route to back Southampton you’ll stop-off in the emerald-green Azores to discover the captivating crater lakes and hot springs of São Miguel Island; and sail to Spain to uncover the historic highlights of La Coruña.

Sailing with hundreds, not thousands, of others allows you to get ashore faster too, and make the most of each destination.

Like the rest of the fleet, Braemar assumes the welcoming feel and intimacy of a country house hotel, and a sense of timeless style and elegance flows through the ship's comfortable bars and lounges, restaurants and spacious accommodation for up to 929 guests.
