There is much to make a ‘song and dance’ about on this very special summer sailing, including calls at Tallinn and Rotterdam that are specially timed to bring you exceptional celebrations of music and time-honoured traditions. With visits to stunning Scandinavian capitals; an overnight stay in ‘Jewel in the Baltic Crown’; and breathtaking scenic cruising to enjoy too, you’re sure to be in for an enthralling adventure.

Every five years, Tallinn hosts Estonia’s Song and Dance Festivals, and during your full-day stay in one of the Baltic’s most enchanting capitals, you’ll have a rare opportunity to experience all the excitement of these memorable occasions. Celebrate Estonia’s uniqueness and underlying spirit at one of the world’s largest amateur choir events, at Tallinn Song Festival Grounds; and delight in the all the pomp and traditional ceremony of the Dance Festival at Kalevi Keskstaadion. You could also explore Tallinn’s UNESCO-listed Old Town, to uncover architectural highlights such as Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. Another musical celebration awaits you in the Netherlands too. Visiting Rotterdam on the weekend of the city’s annual North Sea Jazz Festival – the biggest indoor music festival in the world – offers you the chance to enjoy live performances from ‘big-names’ in the music industry, as well as up-coming artists. Lionel Richie, Van Morrison, Sting and Simply Red have all performed here in recent years; perhaps some of your musical heroes will take to the stage this time around. [ReadMore]

To provide the perfect accompaniment for the sounds of Tallinn and Rotterdam, Boudicca will also take you to Germany, Denmark, Russia and Sweden to present you with the unforgettable sights and experiences on this incredible 14-night adventure. You’ll cruise the picturesque, size-restricted Kiel Canal and visit the delightful German city of Kiel for the Laboe Naval Museum and tours to the gorgeous Five Lakes district; get closer to the highlights of Copenhagen, including Tivoli Gardens and the Christiansborg and Amalienborg palaces; and enjoy three days of Swedish exploration. A scenic cruise of the awe-inspiring Stockholm Archipelago is followed by a day in Stockholm, with its charming Old Town and magnificent Royal Palace; before the medieval, UNESCO-listed town of Visby awaits on Gotland Island. Stopping overnight in St Petersburg, a Russian treasure trove of iconic landmarks, will afford time to marvel at Peterhof Palace, the elaborate Church on the Spilled Blood, Catherine Palace and much more; visit the iconic Hermitage; and even spend a magical evening at the Russian Ballet.

Real ships
We’re not interested in gimmicks like zip wires, climbing walls or celebrity chefs. We don’t have boastful megaships. We take immense pride in our fleet of smaller-scaled vessels that retain the style, ambience and understated quality of a country house hotel.  We ensure they remain contemporary too: from winter 2016 to spring 2018 the whole fleet underwent dry dock refits to further enhance the facilities for guests. With the fifth generation Fred. Olsen as Chairman and 170 years of seafaring heritage behind us, we believe we’ve found the perfect formula for you to get the best out of your holiday with us.

Smaller but spacious
A smaller ship doesn’t mean less space; far from it. Each room is comfortably sized, with all that you’ll need to enjoy your holiday. In fact, our rooms are comparable to those on some of the mammoth cruise ships. While our vessels are on a more accessible scale, you can have just as much private space.  With fewer people on board it’s easy to find a quiet spot to relax in peace with a drink or a good book. There’s room to stretch out by the pool and you can get ashore more quickly too. And when you’re ashore, you’re seeing the best of each port of call with hundreds – not thousands – of others, giving you a much more authentic experience.

Service with a smile
Each member of the Fred. Olsen team has been carefully selected for their warm and welcoming personalities. The quality of our people, supported by training and development, ensures they will give you a great holiday: in guest feedback our staff are always the most highly-rated aspect of the whole experience.
