With Black Watch as your guide, experience the contrasts of Asia to the full as you sail between stunning islands boasting unspoilt natural landscapes, beautiful beaches and incredible wildlife, and spectacular cities packed with man-made marvels and iconic sights.

This exciting voyage begins in Australia, taking in three diverse cities in just over a week. After meeting your ship in charming Brisbane it’s on to Cairns for the chance to explore tropical rainforest and dense wetlands, or tour to the awe-inspiring Great Barrier Reef; before sailing to Darwin to discover the delights of the Northern Territory’s capital. A simply unforgettable experience awaits you at the first stop on your Asian journey. Black Watch will drop anchor at the Indonesian island of Komodo, where you can go ashore in search of Komodo Dragons – the world’s largest lizard; and bask in the unique beauty of the shimmering Pink Beach. In contrast to the unspoilt beauty and tranquillity of Komodo, Singapore offers soaring structures and energetic city life. Experience modern Asia among the maze of skyscrapers in the Financial District; or perhaps visit Chinatown and see the striking Sri Mariamman Temple. Alternatively you could explore the beautiful Gardens by the Bay, showcasing an array of colourful flora from around the globe. [ReadMore]

Up next on your incredible itinerary is fabulous Phuket. The breathtaking scenery of iconic Phang Nga Bay is just a short speedboat ride away from this Thai idyllic island and has to be seen to be believed; while you can capture the famous ‘James Bond Island’ too. You’ll then immerse yourself in the history, culture, hustle and bustle and beauty of India, visiting three remarkable ports of call. During a call into Kochi you could head to Kumbalangi to see the famous Chinese fishing nets dotted along the glorious coastline; or perhaps opt to take a once-in-a-lifetime trip the wonderful, white-marble wonder that is the Taj Mahal. From Kochi you’ll cruise to Mormugão, gateway to the historic centres of Old Goa and the Latin Quarter, laden with old houses, churches and cathedral; before an overnight stay in Mumbai brings your time in India to a memorable close. With time to explore the vibrant city at your leisure, highlights including the historic Colaba quarter, iconic Victoria Railway Terminus and Dhobi Ghat laundry district all await your discovery. Your unforgettable cruise concludes in the UAE, disembarking in glamourous and ultra-modern Dubai, home of the Burj Khalifa – the world’s tallest building.

Black Watch is the ultimate home-from-home at sea: spacious with a friendly, familiar feel and providing a traditional cruise experience. Refurbished at the end of 2016, the 804-guest Black Watch features stylish new décor, fittings and furniture, plus the new Black Watch Room restaurant.

What's more, new soft furnishing, smart TVs and mini-bars enhance the accommodation on board, while the cinema has been upgraded too. Despite all these new features, Black Watch still retains her sleek, intimate style and has a welcoming ambience - just like the rest of the Fred. Olsen fleet.

Real ships
We don’t have boastful megaships. We take immense pride in our fleet of smaller-scaled vessels that retain the style, ambience and understated quality of a country house hotel.  We ensure they remain contemporary too: from winter 2016 to spring 2018 the whole fleet underwent dry dock refits to further enhance the facilities for guests. With the fifth generation Fred. Olsen as Chairman and 170 years of seafaring heritage behind us, we believe we’ve found the perfect formula for you to get the best out of your holiday with us.

Smaller but spacious
A smaller ship doesn’t mean less space; far from it. Each room is comfortably sized, with all that you’ll need to enjoy your holiday. In fact, our rooms are comparable to those on some of the mammoth cruise ships. While our vessels are on a more accessible scale, you can have just as much private space.  With fewer people on board it’s easy to find a quiet spot to relax in peace with a drink or a good book. There’s room to stretch out by the pool and you can get ashore more quickly too. And when you’re ashore, you’re seeing the best of each port of call with hundreds – not thousands – of others, giving you a much more authentic experience.

Service with a smile
Each member of the Fred. Olsen team has been carefully selected for their warm and welcoming personalities. The quality of our people, supported by training and development, ensures they will give you a great holiday: in guest feedback our staff are always the most highly-rated aspect of the whole experience.
