You’re in for a memorable Christmas sailing onwards to the Far East: spend Christmas Day in Colombo, then enjoy Christmas Day and Boxing Day – Fred. Olsen style - on board Boudicca with a feast of food, fun and festivity. As the end of 2020 nears, you’re sure to be enthralled by the cultural and architectural mix showcased in the Malaysian cities of Georgetown and Kuala Lumpur, with its unmistakable skyline dominated by the mighty Petronas Twin Towers. Then comes the crowning moment – an extended stay in Singapore, timed perfectly for catching the city-state’s magical New Year’s Eve celebration. You’ll be afforded time to marvel at Singapore’s mighty skyline; visit the Gardens by the Bay; and stop by Raffles Hotel for high tea too. Returning to Malaysia, lush rainforests, breathtaking beaches, impressive mosques and views of imposing Mount Kinabalu await at Kota Kinabalu, before it’s on to Manila – the capital of the Philippines – and finally, Japan. Naha’s highlights include the UNESCO-listed Shurijo Castle, shrouded in the glory of the Ryukyu Kingdom era, and the Oriental gardens of Fukushu Park, while in Kochi, the hilltop castle and Chikurinji Temple are must-visit sites. You’ll find plenty of places to sample authentic flavours of sake, soba and sushi too. Before heading home, there’s time in Tokyo to revel in the mix of ultramodern and traditional that the Japanese capital showcases in its palaces and historic temples, neon-lit landmarks and bustling commercial districts.

Real ships
We don’t have boastful megaships. We take immense pride in our fleet of smaller-scaled vessels that retain the style, ambience and understated quality of a country house hotel.  We ensure they remain contemporary too: from winter 2016 to spring 2018 the whole fleet underwent dry dock refits to further enhance the facilities for guests. With the fifth generation Fred. Olsen as Chairman and 170 years of seafaring heritage behind us, we believe we’ve found the perfect formula for you to get the best out of your holiday with us.

Smaller but spacious
A smaller ship doesn’t mean less space; far from it. Each room is comfortably sized, with all that you’ll need to enjoy your holiday. In fact, our rooms are comparable to those on some of the mammoth cruise ships. While our vessels are on a more accessible scale, you can have just as much private space.  With fewer people on board it’s easy to find a quiet spot to relax in peace with a drink or a good book. There’s room to stretch out by the pool and you can get ashore more quickly too. And when you’re ashore, you’re seeing the best of each port of call with hundreds – not thousands – of others, giving you a much more authentic experience.

Service with a smile
Each member of the Fred. Olsen team has been carefully selected for their warm and welcoming personalities. The quality of our people, supported by training and development, ensures they will give you a great holiday: in guest feedback our staff are always the most highly-rated aspect of the whole experience.

Named after the British warrior Queen, Boudicca has built up a loyal following, combining style and space with the renowned personal Fred. Olsen service. Up to 880 guests can sail in comfort on board Boudicca, enjoying the welcoming, home-from-home ambience, ample space and fantastic restaurants, lounges, bars and facilities of a smaller, friendly ocean-going cruise ship.
