The wonders and wildlife of a land bursting with natural treasures awaits on this Icelandic adventure.[ReadMoreMob] A visit to Reykjavik provides a chance to discover the fabled Golden Circle and witness the beauty of the Gullfoss ‘Golden Waterfall’ and the sheer natural power of gushing Geyser hot springs. Enjoy time ashore amongst the volcanic landscapes of the remote Heimaey Islands too; and revel in the scenery of the Westfjords, best experienced on a kayaking tour from Ísafjörður.

Exploration of the rugged north coast is for encounters with native fauna; look out for sea birds nesting on the cliffs and peaks of Eyjafjörður’s mountainous islands and, from Akureyri, go in search of humpback and minke whales, dolphins and porpoises by boat – an unforgettable experience. You could also head to the dramatic Godafoss, to see and hear the crashing white waters of the ‘Waterfall of the Gods’, or perhaps Lake Mývatn, where large colonies of birds live and thrive in a haven of tranquillity.

Your Itinerary

  • Tour to the Gullfoss or Godafoss Waterfalls

Bringing the world closer

Our size advantage means we can take you to places that some of the larger cruise vessels simply can’t. We dock close to the heart of some of the world’s most beautiful cities and can take you on scenic cruising adventures showcasing inspirational landscapes. Our itineraries are expertly crafted to make the most of this advantage.

Smaller but spacious

Aboard our smaller, friendlier ships you'll find there's plenty of room to stretch out by the pool, enjoy a drink and great conversation with like-minded guests, and make the most of your time away. Sailing with hundreds, not thousands, of others allows you to get ashore faster too, and make the most of each destination.

Each member of the Fred. Olsen team has been carefully selected for their warm and welcoming personalities. The quality of our people, supported by training and development, ensures they will give you a great holiday. In fact, 97% of guests rated Fred. Olsen’s friendly, attentive staff ‘Excellent’ or ‘Good’.

While Bolette is one of the largest ships, by overall size, in our fleet, she still has capacity for less than 1,400 guests. So on board you’ll find you have more space in which to relax, in public areas such as the all-season pool and the beautiful two-tiered entertainment theatre, and enjoy a premium level of comfort – as well as our renowned personal service – in the elegant lounges, bars and dining venues.

With its warm, welcoming atmosphere and timeless style, and classic open deck spaces providing a place to fully immerse yourself in the magic of ocean cruising, Bolette is very much in keeping with what our guests have come to expect from a Fred. Olsen ship.
