Specially crafted to present you with some of the most unique and authentic sights and experiences Greece has to offer, this outstanding itinerary features an extensive array of highlights.[ReadMoreMob] Cultural gems, ancient archaeological treasures, postcard-perfect scenery and much more, Fred. Olsen will bring it all closer to you. And, as if that wasn’t enough, you’ll get to experience a unique sense of excitement while smaller-sized, record-breaking Braemar navigates the Corinth Canal. As you sail serenely between the canal’s carefully carved, imposing cliffs, which pinch to a gap of just 24 metres between them at their narrowest point, you’ll delight in dramatic views and a cruising experience rarely enjoyed on an ocean cruise ship. On both of your journeys through this man-made wonder, you’re sure to make memories that last a lifetime.

You’ll experience rich history, culture and beauty during visits to gorgeous Greek islands too. Step back to the Byzantine era, taking in the Cretan charms, interesting museums and striking architecture of Agios Nikolaos; and trail the ancient sites of Rhodes. UNESCO-listed Rhodes Town is a treasure trove of highlights, such as the Avenue of the Knights and imposing Palace of the Grand Masters, to unlock, while legendary ruins, temples and the Crusader Castle await in Lindos. At Syros and Kefallonia, Braemar’s size-advantage comes to the fore again, allowing you to dock close to heart of Ermoupoli and Argostoli, where pastel-hued villas and palm-lined promenades, Ouzeries and glorious beaches exude Mediterranean magic. Meanwhile, on the mainland, Katakolon and Pireaus are gateways to the iconic landmarks of Olympia – the home of the Olympic Games – and Athens, such as the awe-inspiring Acropolis.

Braemar is the shortest of Fred. Olsen's four smaller, friendly ocean-going cruise ships, with dimensions perfect for cruising picturesque, size-restricted rivers and docking in the heart of fascinating towns and cities.

Like the rest of the fleet, Braemar assumes the welcoming feel and intimacy of a country house hotel, and a sense of timeless style and elegance flows through the ship's comfortable bars and lounges, restaurants and spacious accommodation for up to 929 guests.

In recent years, we have seen a new era emerging in cruising.

There is a trend for everything to get bigger and busier, and for a cruise to be seen as an alternative to a large luxury resort, with a limitless flurry of activity. But this is not for us. Find out more

1. WE ARE PROUD TO SAIL OUR OWN COURSE

We are free to do things a different way because we are family-run. Of course some people enjoy the bigger, busier cruises, but it is not for everyone, and it is not for us. We prefer to do things, 'The Olsen Way'.

2. SMALLER IS BETTER

We have fewer guests, so the atmosphere on board our ships is always warm and civilised. Our smaller ships allow us to visit the more interesting places that the world has to offer.

3. HAND-CRAFTED, NOT MASS PRODUCED

We pride ourselves on putting our all into the Fred. Olsen cruise experience. Our itineraries are created from scratch every year, our service is genuinely personal and each and every area of our ships is designed by hand.
