Fred. Olsen Jnr.

It is my pleasure to introduce you to our Worldwide 2019/20 programme.

Based on the extensive knowledge of our team, research and valued feedback from our guests, this new programme of itineraries features some of the world’s best destinations and experiences, sailing from the UK and fly-cruising to exotic locations around the globe. Take a journey of exploration aboard our four smaller, friendlier ships, each of which has been through a refit as part of multi-million pound improvements, delivering more dining options, refreshed guest rooms, enhanced lounges and refurbished public areas to make your entire experience on board more rewarding. Ready for adventures to come, the upgraded fleet, coupled with our award-winning itineraries, ensure we will continue to stand out from the crowd, offering a cruise experience like no other. We were recently awarded Best for Itineraries in the Cruise Critic UK Editors’ Picks Awards for the third year running, something which the whole team at Fred. Olsen and I are very proud of.

Speaking of itineraries, Braemar’s ‘Corinth Canal & Greek Islands’ cruise, departing in September 2019, was launched early in November 2017. Braemar will be the largest ship ever to cruise through the canal which splits the Greek mainland. Equally as innovative were Boudicca’s inaugural Indian Ocean fly-cruises. These will feature again in 2019/20, complemented by exciting new fly-cruise itineraries in even more exotic locations, showcasing the rich diversity of some of the world’s most far-flung regions. The unprecedented fly-cruise programme is full to the brim with once-in-a-lifetime adventures: cruising the Great Barrier Reef, heading out on a magical African safari, uncovering the ‘lost city’ of Petra, admiring the world’s best beaches, island hopping in Indonesia, and more. That’s not to forget Braemar’s perennially popular Caribbean programme, always a favourite with our guests.

Cruising closer to home is equally rewarding, including a range of cruises timed to coincide with special events. In April 2020, all eyes will be on Madeira as the fleet converges in Funchal. In 2019 there are chances to experience Sami National Day and the Estonian Song & Dance festivals, alongside favourites such as the Formula One Monaco Grand Prix, Seville’s Feria de Abril and the Edinburgh Military Tattoo. Within our new programme, there are even more memorable highlights for you to experience.

As you’d expect with Fred. Olsen, closer cruising remains to the fore. Notably, every port on every Braemar cruise that sails from the UK is ‘closer’ – where the size advantage of our smaller ship is used to ensure you’re right at the heart of the destination, wherever you choose to sail with us. And of course, our long Norwegian heritage means we can show you the spectacular natural beauty of the fjords like no-one else. What’s more, our regional departures mean you can see the best of Norway in only five nights: the perfect short break, or chance to try us for the first time.

We were proud to introduce our new river cruise programme on Brabant in 2018; this has been expanded for 2019. Charming cities, small towns and landscapes decorated with vineyards, castles and villages all appear before you. Discover the beauty of the Danube, Rhine, Main and Moselle Rivers with Fred. Olsen’s welcoming style of cruising.

I would like to sincerely thank all our many loyal repeat guests; to those who are yet to try us, a warm welcome to Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines. And to all of you, may I wish you the holiday of a lifetime with us.
