      Vigur is a lovely island, two kilometres long and just 400 metres wide - a green oasis in the blue waters of the fjord Isafjardardjup. During spring the island is the nesting place for countless birds. In July puffins, arctic terns, black guillemots and eider ducks can be seen in large numbers. Vigur Island has been home to the same family since 1884, and today there are three generations living under the same roof. They are farmers and live off the treasures of the island.

Offering many traditional cruising features, its décor will undergo a major refurbishment of the public areas in December 2009; including a new casual dining area, which will replace the current Garden Cafe and become The Braemar Garden. New soft furnishings will also be added to the Neptune Lounge, Piper's Bar, Glentanar Restaurant and Observatory Lounge.
